bill: president trump touting success on rebooting the coal industry last week. west virginia s governor is asking the president for a big investment. governor jim justice joins me now live. now a republican. thank you for coming back here. good morning to you. thanks for having me. bill: we have a bit of a delay here. you are asking for a lot, governor. you want $4 1/2 billion to save eastern coal in your state and elsewhere. that sounds like a bail-out. how do you defend it? well, bill, it s anything but that. i mean, just think for just one second. we came really close to completely losing our eastern coal fields in the past probably four years. 55 companies took bankruptcy. now at the end of the day we better awaken to one thing and ....
For example, comet lovejoy a couple years ago made a very close passage around the sun. it survived and this particular comet is actually quite a bit larger than comet lovejoy was. the nucleus, the chunk of ice that the comet is made of is about a mile across. a mile across. i m cautiously optimistic. yeah, we don t know for sure. you know, interesting enough if it breaks up into many pieces in some ways that s even better for nasa because we ll be able to see the interior of the comet and that s what we re so interested in. because this comet is a pristine chunk of our solar system from 4 1/2 billion years ago. wow. so, inside are clues as to what happened in the very formation of our planets. talk about rings in a tree. so, if 800,000 miles and makes a giant u-turn around the sun. it will swing back out, outside of the inner solar system. will it get close to the earth? will it have any effect on the earth? no. actually, this comet is not going to be coming anywhere near ....
