in singapore, and eight in the morning in north korea where russia s president, vladimir putin, is expected to arrive in the coming hours, for a two day state visit. the visit has been announced on north korean state television though no other details were given. it will, however, be the first visit by mr putin to his country s eastern neighbour in 2a years. satellite images of pyongyang s airport and main square indicate signs of preparations for mr putin s visit including the sort of construction set up that is usually used for parades. russia s state news agency tass said president putin is travelling to the country on a friendly state visit on the invitation of north korean leader kim jong un. the leaders last met in the russian city of vladivostok last september with mr kim travelling there on his private train. the us will be watching the visit very closely. what we are concerned about is the deepening relationship between these two countries. notjust because
