International Conference on Risk Management and Prevention of Antibiotic Resistance One World, One Health , Organised at Chitkara University

Chandigarh [India], December 12 (ANI/NewsVoir): In the framework of the project PREVENT IT: Risk Management and Prevention of Antibiotic Resistance, Chitkara University hosted a two day international conference 'One World, One Health' at the University Premises. More than 700 delegates from over 40 Indian and European institutions debated the impact of the One Health approach in eradicating casualties associated with drug-resistant pathogens. Despite the scarce societal awareness (as reported by a recent article published in the Lancet), superbugs and drug-resistance diseases currently represent the second cause of death worldwide. Chitkara University collaborates with Federation University Australia Amidst Worldwide Water Crisis

Chandigarh [India], December 5 (ANI/NewsVoir): In a unique initiative, Federation University, Australia has collaborated with Chitkara University to deliver a course on the Management of Water resources. With an aim to come up with ways and means to deal with water management problems, as many as 30 students have been handpicked who will be taught to think in a holistic way to solve water-related issues. This course aims to develop Systems Thinking skills in addition to helping young budding engineering students to understand the multi-disciplinary nature of water resource management. Chitkara University signs MoA with Data Security Council of India to collaborate for joint programs on Cyber Security and Privacy

Chandigarh [India], November 22 (ANI/NewsVoir): Chitkara University has signed a Memorandum of Association (MoA) with the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) - National Centre of Excellence for Cyber Security Technology Development (NCoE) for collaboration on conducting joint programs on cyber security and privacy. The MoA was signed by Dr Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, and Mr. Vinayak Godse, CEO, DSCI, in the campus premises. Present on occasion were senior officials and industry stalwarts from the organizations like SBI Cards, ONGC, POSOCO, NHPC, DSCI, SAIL, LTI Mindtree, CIALFOR to name a few. Chandigarh [India], September 29 (ANI/NewsVoir): Deakin University, Australia announced the establishment of a DEAKIN UNIVERSITY HUB at Chitkara University, Chandigarh. The announcement was made to commemorate India's 75 years of Independence and almost three decades of Deakin's engagement in India. Over the past years, Deakin University through its office in New Delhi has setup innovative models of study with Chitkara University in software and mechatronics engineering.
