Dr. Christine M. Warnke was recognized and honored in a ceremonial resolution, sponsored by Council member Anita Bonds for her continued advocacy and philanthropy to Washington, D.C., and its people. Â
The Council of the District of Columbia listed the many achievements of Warnke, a native Washingtonian and lifelong resident of the District of Columbia, born to Greek immigrants.
She was honored during Women s History Month and in honor of the many Greek Americans celebrating the 200th anniversary of Greece s independence.
