Vermont police investigate after 2 found dead in creek

Police: Grandparents found dead in river as boy, 3, survives April 20, 2021 GMT CHARLOTTE, Vt. (AP) Two people died after the boat they were in with their 3-year-old grandson capsized in the Lewis Creek in Charlotte, Vermont State Police said Monday. Fishermen reported the bodies to police at about 12:30 p.m. Monday in the creek near Spear Street. The two were pronounced dead at the scene. The boy had been wearing a life vest when the boat overturned, police said in a news release. He was able to make it to shore and was found in a vehicle outside of the nearby home of his grandparents after a brief search, police said.

Yellowstone Changing Some First-Come, First-Served Campgrounds To Reservation System

Public Domain Yellowstone National Park Tuesday said it will try out a new reservation system for two campgrounds and part of a third. Reservations for Mammoth and Slough Creek campgrounds, along with 60 percent of Pebble Creek, will go live on recreation.gov for the first time on Mar. 24 at 8 am. People will be able to book campsites up to six months in advance and reservations are expected to fill quickly, according to Yellowstone officials. Spokesperson Linda Veress says the new system is a direct response to public requests for a reservation system for campgrounds managed by the park itself.

He was born near the Andes in a little village called Pueblo Nuevo in the state of Merida, Venezuela, on September 12, 1942. His life was cut short while living in Seville, Spain, when he became ill from COVID-19. Leo was the third of 10 children. He was raised in Venezuela and attended Liceo Libertador school before completing a degree in economics at the University of the Andes in 1965. He was then awarded a grant to travel and study in England. He completed a master’s degree in economics at the University of Exeter and a second master’s degree at the University of Cambridge.
