Eagles Defeat Reign in Overtime Thriller, 5-4 May 18, 2021
IRVINE, CA. – Eagles defenseman Justin Barron scored the game-winning goal 9:00 into overtime to round out a three-point performance and propel Colorado to a 5-4 victory over the Ontario Reign on Tuesday. The win now advances the Eagles to a match-up with the San Jose Barracuda in the final round of the Pacific Division play-in tournament on Wednesday. Defenseman Keaton Middleton collected two goals and an assist in the victory, while forward T.J. Tynan notched a goal and an assist.
Colorado would waste little time in establishing an early lead, as Middleton sliced through the slot before deflecting a centering pass into the back of the net to put the Eagles on top, 1-0 just 1:38 into the contest.
The San Diego Gulls dropped the first of their three-game series against the Colorado Eagles 2-1 tonight at Budweiser Events Center. Despite the setback, the Gulls still have a chance at the rising to the second seed in the Pacific Division before the 2021 postseason begins next week.

Forwards Martin Kaut and Riley Woods each netted a goal in the victory, while defenseman Keaton Middleton chipped in a pair of assists. The win was punctuated by a 3-for-3 performance in a contest where the Gulls were limited to just 23 shots on net.
Colorado would score the game’s first goal when Kaut drove into the zone and picked up a rebound in the right-wing circle before firing the puck into the back of the net. The goal was Kaut’s sixth of the season and gave the Eagles a 1-0 edge at the 8:02 mark of the first period.
Eagles Wrap Up Road Swing with 4-1 Win over Tucson Apr 25, 2021
TUCSON, AZ. – Goaltender Parker Gahagen stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced, while forwards T.J. Tynan, Alex Newhook, Shane Bowers and Riley Woods all netted goals, as the Colorado Eagles defeated the Tucson Roadrunners, 4-1 on Sunday. The Eagles finished the game 1-for-4 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill, as Colorado went a perfect 11-for-11 on the penalty kill in the three-game series against the Roadrunners.
A power play early in the contest would get Colorado off on the right foot, as Tynan buried a shot from the right-wing circle to put the Eagles on top, 1-0 just 2:39 into the game. The goal now gives Colorado at least one power-play goal in 12 of the Eagles last 13 games. Colorado would shut down a subsequent Tucson man-advantage and the two teams would head to the first intermission with the Eagles still holding a 1-0 edge.
