A defence witness in the war crimes trial of Gibril Massaquoi told the Finnish court holding hearings here that he fought with the Revolutionary United Front in Lofa County in 2001 but Massaquoi was not with them.
The witness, codenamed “11” to protect him from intimidation, was a radio operator for RUF leader Foday Sankoh’s station called Secret Signal Broadcasting (SSB). He said he met Massaquoi in 1999 when they were all in the RUF together.

FREETOWN, Sierra Leone – A defense witness in the war crimes trial of Gibril Massaquoi told the Finnish court holding hearings here that he fought with the Revolutionary United Front in Lofa County in 2001 but Massaquoi was not with them.

Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has collected incriminating evidence against Sachin Vaze, the suspended police officer and former Shiv Sena leader, whose name has been linked in the Mumbai bomb scare case. During a raid at the Central Intelligence Unit (CIU), the NIA seized Vaze s iPad, mobile phone and other incriminating material that points towards alleged tampering of evidence.
The NIA also recorded the statement of seven police officials in connection with the matter. NIA officials seized a laptop, mobile phones and some documents from Sachin Waze s office at Mumbai Police CIU last night. NIA has recorded statements of 5 CIU personnel and 2 Crime Branch personnel so far - Mumbai Police sources told Times Now.
