In a reply to a petition in Bombay High Court in the matter of door-to-door vaccination drive for bed-ridden people, the BMC on Thursday informed the court that of the 4,889 people who registered for the campaign, 1,317 were vaccinated till August 9.
The city civic body informed the Bombay High Court on Thursday that 4,715 bed-ridden people here have so far registered for home vaccination against COVID-19 and out of them, 602 people have been administered the jabs at their residences.

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra school education department decided to allow physical sessions for the classes V to VIII from January 27 with permission from chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. Meanwhile the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) has decided to keep schools shut until further notice.
Varsha Gaikwad, minister for school education told the media that the local authority should take the responsibility of the safety measures on the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic. About other measures the minister said, “Though the state will issue separate standard operating procedure (SOP) soon about how to go ahead with the reopening of schools in the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

In an affidavit filed in the Bombay High Court by Mumbai civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Sonu Sood was called a habitual offender . In response to the actor s petition, the civic body submitted an affidavit at the court. For the uninitiated, a complaint was file against Sonu and his wife Sonali Sood for allegedly having made unauthorized changes to Juhu s Shakti Sagar Building without the BMC s permission.
