RALEIGH Cumberland County has a new $1 million lottery winner, a news release from the North Carolina Education Lottery announced Wednesday.
Artina Siler, of Fayetteville, purchased the winning $30 Millionaire Maker ticket from 365 Fast Mart on North Reilly Road in Fayetteville.
There are 30 Millionaire Maker tickets with the $1 million prize, and Siler is the 12th person to win the ticket s highest prize, according to the news release.
She claimed her prize Tuesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
Siler had the option of taking the $1 million as an annuity of $50,000 a year for 20 years, or a lump sum of $600,000.
She chose the lump sum of $600,000 and took home $424,509 after required federal and state tax withholdings, according to the news release.
