However, the funds are still rolling in and the final count is somewhere above 108 thousand dollars. A week after the event, Inclusion Lloydminster is basking in the community generosity. The event which has an in-person tradition dating back some 10 years, was not held last year as the wave of COVID uncertainty stalled the gathering. 2021 is seeing the non-profit having all smiles as the funding will support the numerous projects which foster inclusion.

DOST commends rice institute for high number of scientists

  In the recent oath-taking ceremony of newly conferred and upgraded scientists, DOST Secretary Dr. Fortunato T. Dela Peña commends PhilRice after three of its experts landed in this year’s ranking.   “[With 12 scientists nine Scientist I and three Scientist II], PhilRice has the highest number of active career scientists. I appreciate the newly conferred and upgraded scientists for their dedication and significant contributions to research in their respective areas of expertise,” he said.   Dr. Aurora M. Corales and Dr. Elmer G. Bautista were conferred the Scientist I rank, while Dr. Norvie L. Manigbas was upgraded to Scientist II rank by the Scientific Career Council.
