Following the win, Chattanooga (13-23, 8-8 SoCon) clinches a spot in this week s SoCon Championship as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 2 Western Carolina on Thursday, May 13, at 3 p.m. ET in Greensboro, N.C. Samford falls to 18-27 overall, 7-11 in the league and has been eliminated from postseason contention.
Mocs Softball Splits Doubleheader At Furman Monday, April 26, 2021
Junior pitcher Brooke Parrott fired her second two-hit shutout of the week to help lead the Chattanooga Mocs softball team to a key 3-0 Southern Conference victory and doubleheader split at Furman on Sunday afternoon in Greenville, S.C. Chattanooga dropped game one, 9-5. After the split, Chattanooga moves to 11-22 overall and 6-7 in the SoCon. Furman improves to 16-23 and 7-4 in league action. Only four teams advance to the SoCon Tournament this season due to COVID scheduling adjustments. The Mocs currently remain a 0.5 game ahead of Mercer in fourth.

The Chattanooga Mocs softball program looks to build off its midweek upset win over Auburn with a crucial three-game Southern Conference series against Furman on Saturday and Sunday in Greenville S.C.
Originally a doubleheader, Saturday will be a single game beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET due to forecasted inclement weather. Sunday’s series finale doubleheader kicks off at 1:00 p.m. ET. All three games will broadcast LIVE on ESPN+.
Chattanooga (10-21, 5-6 SoCon) earned a 1-0 win over SEC-member Auburn on Wednesday to snap a five-game skid, earning its first win over an SEC program since 2015. The Mocs have dropped their last five conference games and currently sits in fourth place in the league standings. The top four teams advance to the SoCon Tournament this season due to COVID scheduling.
UTC s Parrott Pitches Mocs Past Auburn Wednesday, April 21, 2021 Junior pitcher Brooke Parrott fired a complete game, two-hit shutout while senior Hayleigh Weissenbach recorded a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the fifth to help lead the Chattanooga Mocs softball team to a thrilling 1-0 win over SEC-member Auburn on Wednesday afternoon inside Jim Frost Stadium. Following the win, Chattanooga improves to 10-21 overall. Auburn falls to 25-14 on the season. It marks the first win over an SEC program for the Mocs since a 6-4 win over Auburn back on February 17, 2013. Auburn entered the day with an national RPI ranking of 11 and was the top vote receiver in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches and ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll.

Mocs Have dropped Last Five SoCon Contests Sunday, April 18, 2021
The Chattanooga Mocs softball team saw another late inning lead evaporate and suffered a Southern Conference three-game series sweep during a 10-5 loss to UNCG in the series finale on a sunny Sunday afternoon inside Jim Frost Stadium.
Following the pair of defeats, Chattanooga falls to 9-21 overall and 5-6 in league action. UTC has dropped its last five conference games after racing out to a 5-1 start. UNCG improves to 6-3 in conference play and 21-14 overall.

UNCG 10, Chattanooga 5 For the third-straight game of the series, Chattanooga struck first and raced out to an early lead. Regan Armour opened the game’s scoring in the bottom of the second with a two-run double to right, scoring Gracey Kruse and Hayleigh Weissenbach to give the Mocs a 2-0 lead.
