Napanee traffic stop leads to multiple charges

A 25-year-old man has received multiple charges following a traffic stop on Highway 401. Lennox and Addington OPP were on patrol and observed a vehicle going at a high rate of speed near the Greater Napanee exit last Saturday. Police initiated a traffic stop to discover the driver showing signs of impairment. An Approved Screening Device was administered and the driver was subsequently arrested. NetNewsLedger - Thunder Bay Man Will Celebrate New Years Behind Bars After Impaired Driving and Assaulting Police Officer

NetNewsLedger 1117 NIPIGON – A Thunder Bay man, 22-year-old Vincent Stolz will celebrate New Years Eve in custody. OPP from Nipigon report that on December 30, 2020 at approximately 2:00 am EST, officers with assistance from the Dorion and Hurkett Volunteer Fire Departments and Superior North Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle roll over on Highway 11&17 in the Township of Dorion. The OPP investigation determined the driver to be impaired by drug and the vehicle to have been stolen from Thunder Bay. During the arrest the STOLZ assaulted one of the arresting officers. STOLZ was subsequently arrested and transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
