States enjoy positive effects of elections

States enjoy positive effects of elections Monday, May 3, 2021  |  Charlie Butts (OneNewsNow.com) Spanish Montana has become a pro-life state, and Arkansas has taken another step toward protecting the safety of women who have abortions. Jerry Cox of the Family Council tells One News Now large abortion facilities are already regulated and inspected, but Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchison (R) has signed into law SB 388, now Act 949, which regulates all abortion facilities in the state. The way our law has been written, an individual out here, a doctor, could do over 100 abortions every year and not be licensed, not have the clinic inspected as an abortion facility, and they could sort of be under the radar, Cox laments.

Montana Governor Greg Gianforte signs 3 bills restricting abortion access

HELENA Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte signed three bills Monday restricting abortion access in the state, celebrating it as a success after several attempts to pass similar measures in previous year were vetoed by former Democratic governors. The bills ban abortion after 20 weeks of gestation, require health care providers to give pregnant women the opportunity to view an ultrasound before performing an abortion, and place several restrictions on abortion pills, including requiring that they be administered in-person rather than through telehealth. Gianforte signed the measures in the presence of a jubilant crowd of Republican lawmakers and anti-abortion activists. “It’s a promising day, a day that will go down in our state’s history as we defend life,” Gianforte said.
