LEAWOOD, Kan. â An artificial intelligence company based in the Kansas City suburb of Leawood, Kansas, plans to add nearly 500 new high-paying jobs to the region over the next five years.
Torch.AIâs expansion was announced Friday.
The company provides high-speed processing of large amounts of data. Torch.AI said it will add more than 100 new jobs in 2021, with an average annual salary of more than $100,000.

LEAWOOD, Kan., May 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Today, Torch.AI, a leading global artificial intelligence (AI) firm that uses machine learning to enable massively scaled, ultra-high performance data processing, announced plans to make a significant and sustained economic investment in the Kansas City region, committing to creating nearly 500 full-time jobs over five years as part of a $27 million tax incentive package awarded by the Kansas Department of Commerce.

May 7 Torch.AI, an artificial intelligence firm based in Leawood, announced plans to add nearly 500 new jobs over the next five years in the Kansas City area.
Launched in 2017, Torch.AI offers high-speed processing of massive amounts of data. The company says its software can help companies and governments fight fraud, secure information, make better decisions and create better customer experiences.
Torch.AI said it will hire more than 100 new employees this year with an average annual salary above $100,000. Jobs will range from early career associate engineers and junior data scientists to top engineering and sales positions. A list of current openings is available on the firm s website, www.torch.ai.
