Kentucky Shakespeare to open new headquarters in Old Louisville ahead of a return to stage Emma Austin, Louisville Courier Journal
LOUISVILLE, Ky. On top of a much-anticipated return to live, in-person performances, Kentucky Shakespeare is preparing to relocate its headquarters this summer.
The theater company recently announced plans to move to 616 Myrtle St. in Old Louisville this May. After Fund for the Arts Properties sold the building where Kentucky Shakespeare has been headquartered for the past 10 years, the company began looking for a new space.
The new building is right next to Central Park, where Kentucky Shakespeare hosts many of its shows, including its annual Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park. It will serve as the company s office, rehearsal and community space, and costume shop, according to a news release. A warehouse next door will provide storage.
