Amid the validity of blaming the centre for things that go wrong in local communities, the insecurity has dragged on for too long to render a formidable local and regional intervention an afterthought. The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has called on Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to stop the blame game over his failure of managing the industrial crisis in the state.
Tribune Online reports that NLC in the state embarked on a strike and protest that was greeted by attacks in the state.
According to a statement signed by its President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, on Tuesday, NLC expressed disappointment in El-Rufai’s thinking that Nigerian workers would need financial leverage from a state governor or any other person in order to carry out its campaigns or activities.
Wabba said this in reaction to a viral video where Governor El-Rufai alleged that the recent protest by the NLC in Kaduna was sponsored by the Kano State government.

WHO IS ABUBAKAR BUKOLA SARAKI?
He was born in 1962 to the family of former Senate Leader Olusola Saraki and Florence Saraki. Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki is a medical doctor and Nigerian politician and is presently the Chairman and Founder of the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation.
Dr Saraki attended King’s College, Lagos from 1973 to 1978 and then Cheltenham College in the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1981, he obtained his M.B.B.S(London) from the London Hospital Medical College of the University of London from 1982 to 1987. He worked in the United Kingdom in a number or hospitals in London, and surrounding counties for two years before returning to Nigeria to commence a career in that spans over two decades.
