The photo showed an OPP officer outside of the Espanola High School and ran alongside a story regarding three individuals being charged with attempted murder. The photo in question was in regard to the school being in lockdown on Jan. 21, which was a separate incident. Standard building has been sold

While building has been sold, The Standard is still going strong in Elliot Lake, and has no intention of leaving the community. Article content After more than seven years on the real estate market in Elliot Lake, The Standard newspaper building located at 14 Hillside Drive South, has been sold. The buyer is Joe Issa, of southern Ontario. He hopes to covert the building into a used car dealership and an auto body shop.
