The pandemic push for outdoor beer gardens is moving to East Town with the planned opening of The Tap Yard.
The bar will be located in a portion of the surface parking lot at 1301 N. Edison St. overlooking the Milwaukee River. Owner
Nick Marking hopes that this unique location a few blocks from Fiserv Forum will attract a variety of customers.
“With the events we throw and the beer we pour we think that we’ll get a following, being on the river,” said Marking in an interview.

Foxconn and the state of Wisconsin have a new deal. It s smaller. A lot smaller. The Taiwanese company is now saying that it will create about 1,454 jobs here by 2025. In exchange, Foxconn will g et up to $80 million in tax credits. When the project was first pitched, Foxconn said it would create 13,000 high-tech jobs in Wisconsin. The state would have given the company up to $2.85 billion for that.
