Guest of the band is the American pianist, Cyrus Chestnut, famous musician and well known for years on the American and European jazz scene. NSW Arts Minister Don Harwin last week announced a major overhaul of the state’s heritage laws to make it easier and less expensive to own or adapt heritage-listed buildings. Tom Forrest, chief executive of the Urban Taskforce, which lobbies on behalf of developers, says heritage had been “weaponised”, with councils seeking to have properties listed after they have been rezoned for development and purchased.
