Senate Approves Law Allowing Public Hanging of Child Rapists
Senate’s Standing Committee on Interior has unanimously approved a bill that mandates public hanging of those found guilty of sexually abusing children.
According to details, the bill was approved in the committee’s meeting that was held earlier today with Senator Rehman Malik in the chair.

During the meeting, Chairman Committee, Senator Rehman Malik, said that the recent increase in child abuse cases across the country is concerning, and meting out stern punishments to the culprits is the need of the hour.
Besides, Senator Javed Abbasi tabled a bill against necrophilia, seeking severe punishments, including public hanging, for those involved in the act.
ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Monday passed a bill making the teaching of Arabic language compulsory in all educational institutions in the federal capital.
The house witnessed fiery speeches following opposition by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani who later, however, did not vote against the bill.
The ‘Compulsory Teaching of Arabic Language Bill 2020’ had been introduced as a private member’s bill by Javed Abbasi of the PML-N in August last year. It will become an act of parliament after its passage from National Assembly.
Arabic language will be taught from class I to V and grammar from VI to XII
The Senate has unanimously passed a bill to make teaching Arabic mandatory in primary and secondary educational institutions of the federal capital.
The ‘Compulsory Teaching of Arabic Language Bill 2020’ was introduced by the PML-N Senator, Javed Abbasi, in August 2020, according to which the Arabic language will be taught from Classes I to V and Arabic grammar from Classes VI to XII.

The bill will become an act of the Parliament after its passage from the National Assembly and will be implemented within the next six months.
Abbasi said that Pakistani children must be taught the Arabic language as a subject, adding that if Pakistanis master this language by means of its incorporation into the schools’ curricula, they will not face any problems in the world.

Pakistan’s Upper House of Parliament on Monday approved the Compulsory Teaching of the Arabic Language Bill 2020, making it a mandatory subject for grades 1-12 in the federal capital.
Presented by Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Senator Javed Abbasi, the bill was passed near-unanimously, with Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Raza Rabbani offering the sole dissenting note.
The bill requires the ministry concerned to implement it within six months, adding that Arabic would be taught to grades 1 to 5 in Islamabad, while Arabic grammar would be included in the curriculum of grades 6 to 12.
