Visit of Djibouti Delegation
Islamabad, December 29, 2020 (PPI-OT): Pakistan has envisaged renewed “Engage Africa Policy” to strengthen its ties with all African countries and has decided to increase its diplomatic missions in the countries in addition to open the Pakistan’s Embassy in Djibouti owing to growing economic and political importance of the African region. The exchange of parliamentary delegations would steer the agenda for enhanced economic, political and defence cooperation not only between the Pakistan and Djibouti but also with other African countries. Pakistan eyes vibrant interactions to share the experiences in public sector reforms, technical cooperation, infrastructure development and private investment with the African countries.

Talking to media persons after chairing a meeting at Islamabad Chief Commissioner Office, he said the armed forces had backed democracy in the past and would do so in future. He said former President Asif Zardari had a PhD in criminology and knew tactics to avoid hardships of jail because he spent his most imprisonment period in hospitals rather than in jail. Asif Zardari talked about filling jails in the Sunday s gathering at Larkana, but he has spent most of his sentence in hospitals instead of prison.

ISLAMABAD: Claiming that the opposition will reconsider its decision to resign from assemblies, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday said the resignations should be handwritten.
“Computer printed resignations have no legal value,” he pointed out while talking to reporters during a visit to the office of Islamabad chief commissioner.
About the controversy whether PML-N MNA Murtaza Javed Abbasi had tendered his resignation or not, the minister said that Maryam Nawaz had in her speech at Larkana rally on Sunday claimed that the lawmaker would “throw” his resignation before the speaker of the National Assembly. But on the other side, he added, “you…see Abbasi saying ‘I did not send this’ to the speaker”.
