BUCHAREST (Romania), April 19 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Monday it has signed an 18 million lei ($4.4 million/ 3.7 million euro) contract to deliver 7 electric buses and 9 charging stations to the Romanian northwestern city of Sighetu Marmatiei.
The 7 new Urbino 12 type electric buses which can carry up to 82 passengers would be delivered within a period of 22 months, the company said in a press release.
Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver two fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as seven slow charging stations.

BUCHAREST (Romania), April 16 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Friday it has signed a 51.6 million lei ($12.6 million/ 10.5 million euro) deal to deliver 20 electric buses and 26 charging stations to the Romanian city of Iasi.
The 20 new Urbino 12 type electric buses which can carry up to 82 passengers would be delivered within a period of 22 months, the company said in a press release.
Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver six fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as 20 slow charging stations.

BUCHAREST (Romania), April 15 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Thursday it has signed a 37.5 million lei ($9 million/ 7.6 million euro) deal to deliver 15 electric buses and 19 charging stations to the northeastern Romanian city of Suceava.
The nine new Urbino 12 type electric buses should be delivered within 22 months, the company said in a press release.
Each of the new buses can carry up to 82 passengers.
Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver four fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as 15 slow charging stations.
Solaris starts deliveries of Urbino hydrogen buses to Cologne
In March 2020, in a tender launched by German operator Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK), Solaris Bus & Coach was selected to supply 15 Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses. The first of the hydrogen vehicles has been delivered and is being tested in the RVK branch in Wermelskirchen in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis district. The remaining 14 hydrogen buses will make their way to Germany by the end of the year.
Currently, RVK’s drivers are undergoing training in refueling processes, the specifics of the hydrogen drive, and the technology used in the hydrogen bus. The Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen is the first hydrogen-powered vehicle delivered by the manufacturer to this region.

BUCHAREST (Romania), March 3 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Wednesday it won a 23.5 million lei ($5.8 million/ 4.8 million euro) tender for a contract to deliver nine electric buses and twelve charging stations to the central Romanian city of Sibiu.
The nine new Urbino 12 type electric buses should be delivered within 23 months, the company said in a press release.
Each of the new buses can carry up to 82 passengers.
