Solaris to deliver nine electric buses, 12 charging stations to Romania's Sibiu

BUCHAREST (Romania), March 3 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain's Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Wednesday it won a 23.5 million lei ($5.8 million/ 4.8 million euro) tender for a contract to deliver nine electric buses and twelve charging stations to the central Romanian city of Sibiu.
The nine new Urbino 12 type electric buses should be delivered within 23 months, the company said in a press release.
Each of the new buses can carry up to 82 passengers.
Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver three fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as nine slow charging stations.
