Several agencies rushed to wreck, traffic hazard Wichita Falls firefighters, police, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Wichita County Sheriff’s deputies worked the scene of a hazardous materials incident Monday morning on Seymour Highway near Clyde Morgan Road.  The accident happened around 4:45 a.m. Five fire units, 12 police units and 11 county deputies were called to work the crash scene.  Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Dan Buesing said it started as a two-vehicle head-on crash, between a semi-tractor trailer and another vehicle. No major injuries were reported. Buesing said the the hazmat load is not leaking and crews on monitoring it, but approximately 350-400 gallons of diesel has leaked from the truck tractor.

Accused cop attacker back in jail under high bond This time Joseph McKeaver, 32, is jailed for allegedly failing to comply with his bond agreement. McKeaver was charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer in an incident in November 2019 at a Wichita Falls motel. According to the arrest affidavit: Wichita Falls Police were sent to the Royal Inn on Seymour Highway early Nov. 30 for an assault. They found the suspect in one of the motel rooms sweating profusely and apparently suffering from the effects of methamphetamine use.  The officers were told McKeaver had a gun and asked him to step out of the room. He refused and tried to shut the door. An officer pulled him from the room, but a struggle ensued and McKeaver managed to deliver a punch to one officer in the head.

Meth and Viagra sends man to jail According to the police report: Wichita Falls police were sent early Saturday morning to the Econolodge on Seymour Highway for a check suspicious person call. The caller told police the suspect had been there earlier and was making guests uncomfortable, but left before police were called. The officers found their suspect, detained and identified him as Marcus Bracks. While searching him they found two pocket knives, a glass narcotic pipe, a vape pen with THC oil, and a pill bottle with no label containing six blue pills.  Further investigation revealed the pills were prescription Viagra and Bracks did not have a prescription.
