Accused cop attacker back in jail under high bond
This time Joseph McKeaver, 32, is jailed for allegedly failing to comply with his bond agreement.
McKeaver was charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer in an incident in November 2019 at a Wichita Falls motel.
According to the arrest affidavit:
Wichita Falls Police were sent to the Royal Inn on Seymour Highway early Nov. 30 for an assault. They found the suspect in one of the motel rooms sweating profusely and apparently suffering from the effects of methamphetamine use.
The officers were told McKeaver had a gun and asked him to step out of the room. He refused and tried to shut the door. An officer pulled him from the room, but a struggle ensued and McKeaver managed to deliver a punch to one officer in the head.
