News Briefs: TRIPS offering free rides for vaccine appointments Staff reports TRIPS offering free rides for vaccine appointments FREMONT- Anyone in Sandusky County who needs a ride to a COVID-19 vaccine appointment may get one free of charge through TRIPS Public Transportation. The service operates 5 a.m.-7 p.m. on weekdays and 5 a.m.-noon on Saturdays. Rides may be scheduled weekdays, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. by calling TRIPS at 419-332-8091. Rides provided for vaccinations are round-trip. TRIPS will take passengers to their vaccination appointments, wait until appointments are complete and take passengers back home at no cost.

NC Executives Gather Virtually to Ensure Low-Income, Uninsured Receive Prescription Medication

Share this article Share this article CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/  Community and corporate leaders will be gathering virtually on April 22, 2021 to raise funds for North Carolina s only charitable pharmacy, NC MedAssist, which provides free prescription medication to low-income and uninsured state residents. Although this will be NC MedAssist s fifth Annual Executive Luncheon, it will be the organization s first-ever virtual fundraiser. With more than 200 individuals expected to attend the event, NC MedAssist hopes to raise $100,000 to provide free pharmacy services to those most in need throughout the state.  The event is sponsored by Atrium Health, Humana, and Cardinal Healthcare Innovations.
