Gill Fishing, based in Buford, Ga., has hired Canada Pro Angling & Outdoors to help build brand awareness in the fishing and lifestyle markets,
Gill Fishing was started three years back as an offshoot of Gill Marine, known for its foul-weather gear and lifestyle apparel in the sailing and watersports markets.
Canada Pro looks to expand Gill’s dealer base north of the U.S. border; Gill Marine enjoys strong brand recognition in Canada, which Gill Fishing looks to replicate as it brings new products and technology to the market.
“Canada is home to some of the best fishing on the planet, and we needed an agency that could help us access these important dealers,” said Gill North America sales director Tom Houston. “Canada Pro is aligned with Gill in that we want to grow partnerships within the community and not just focus on bottom-line business.”
