UK returnees meet families

The 14 Zimbabwean deportees who arrived from Britain last month have been united with their families after finishing the mandatory quarantine, which the Government fully covered.
The Government lived up to its promises, that is to take care of the returnees while in quarantine and help them integrate back into their communities, being offered the same opportunities as everyone else.
While residents returning to Zimbabwe voluntarily are required to undergo a mandatory quarantine, they have to do so at their own expense, while those who test positive to Covid-19 will be expected to isolate at a centre of their choice.

US$20 Can Buy a Zimbabwe Journalist : Nick Mangwana
The low salaries earned by journalists could expose them to corruption, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Mr Nick Mangwana told the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Information, Media and Broadcasting Services yesterday.
Giving oral evidence on the Zimbabwe media environment, he noted that the sector was also bedevilled by huge operation costs hampering growth prospects.
“There are very low salaries and it is a concern for the ministry because that brings in corruption. So if one comes with a US$20 note they (journalists) would be tempted,” he said.

President Mnangagwa’s foreign trips have been fruitful as shown by results on the ground in the form of road projects, agriculture mechanisation and provision of quality health care, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Mr Nick Mangwana has said.
In a tweet on Sunday, Mr Mangwana said road works in Makuti being financed under a US$21 million grant from Japan were at an advanced stage.
One of the President’s foreign trips which saw him in Minsk, Belarus, led to an agriculture mechanisation equipment facility worth US$58 million, and its fruits are visible after the equipment was delivered last year.
