(Courtesy photo) Police report 1 hospitalized after car crashes into, shears pole, downs utility lines Vanden Road was closed between Canon Road and One Lake Drive due to downed power lines. One person was trapped inside the vehicle after it crashed and was severely injured, Lt. Jausiah Jacobsen reported Saturday. Jacobsen, in an email response to a request for information from the Daily Republic, said the driver was going “way too fast” and passing other vehicles on Vanden Road when he and the vehicle left the roadway and hit the utility pole.

Police announced the road closure shortly after 7 p.m. with an initial projection that the road would reopen in four hours. That estimate was extended shortly before 9:40 p.m. with reopening anticipated at 8 a.m. Saturday. Vanden Road was shut down between Canon Road and One Lake Drive due to downed power lines. Three Injured In High-Speed Head-On Collision During Weekend Mobile Sideshow Caravan CBS SF Bay Area 3/8/2021 Syndicated Local – CBS San Francisco FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) A driver taking part in a mobile caravan staging illegal sideshows in Solano County over the weekend, slammed head-on into another vehicle, causing injuries to three people. Fairfield police teamed up neighboring agencies to deter a large group participating in sideshow activities throughout Solano County on Saturday night. They moved the moving large groups of vehicles out of parking lots and encouraged them to get back on the freeway to get off city streets. At one point, the group staged a sideshow in Vacaville before driving southeast out of the city and then turning toward Fairfield on Vanden Road.
