Police report 1 hospitalized after car crashes into, shears pole, downs utility lines
Vanden Road was closed between Canon Road and One Lake Drive due to downed power lines.
One person was trapped inside the vehicle after it crashed and was severely injured, Lt. Jausiah Jacobsen reported Saturday.
Jacobsen, in an email response to a request for information from the Daily Republic, said the driver was going “way too fast” and passing other vehicles on Vanden Road when he and the vehicle left the roadway and hit the utility pole.
