This week, the two facilities announced they have come to an agreement, through a mediation process, to offer the single ski pass and seamless access to both areas, making it the biggest venue for Nordic sports in North America. It is fabulous news and it puts us back on track to becoming North America s biggest Nordic ski facility, Callaghan Country president Brad Sills said on Wednesday (Aug. 29). There are no other Nordic facilities in North America that offer this combination of biathlon, ski jumping and Olympic level cross-country skiing, as well as a huge wilderness area available for ski touring.

Note: Asheville is amazing, but there’s a pandemic going on, y’all! Please use this post to inspire your post-COVID travel plans. Know that if you visit literary Asheville before the pandemic is over, many of these experiences may not be available.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina, Asheville is an eclectic city with a rich literary history. Often compared to larger cities like proudly weird Austin, Texas, and wonderfully granola Portland, Oregon, Asheville has a small town vibe with big city ambitions. Exploring literary Asheville will have you visiting local bookstores, national monuments, and historical locations alike. It’s an Appalachian adventure you should definitely embark upon!
Oregonâs Lost Lake Is Disappearing Down A Curious Hole
Feb.17.2021
There are actually two Lost Lakes in Oregon. Both are amazing to visit, but only one literally becomes âlostâ every spring by simply disappearing. Yes, you read that right, this Lost Lake vanishes each spring, and now we think we know why.
The Lost Lake, located in the Mount Hood National Forest, is a beautiful, active site that offers a number of outdoor activities including camping, hiking, biking, and fishing. It is often mistaken for the other Lost Lake site, disappointing thousands of visitors each year, who come seeking the mysterious disappearing lake, so make sure you donât make the same mistake.
The last year was a hell of a roller-coaster ride for talent buyer Tony Mason. In early 2020, Mason wrapped up his long-running gig as talent buyer for Lost Lake, Globe Hall and Larimer Lounge and was set to move to Dallas to take a job at Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill. Last February, he started booking shows for Gas Monkey remotely from Denver, but then the pandemic hit the following month.
Mason continued to work remotely from Denver for Gas Monkey for the next few months, but when it became clear that the virus wasn t going to be managed anytime soon, he tentatively rescheduled his move to Dallas for July and soon was temporarily furloughed.
