Twenty-two employees across the Army Materiel Command enterprise are receiving recognition for missions they accomplished in the fourth quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2021.
The employees, including logistics management specialists, contracting officers and program analysts, received AMCâs Employee of the Quarter honors for their work going above and beyond to meet deadlines and exceed expectations. They represent AMCâs âbest of the bestâ employees across the world.

Bob Harter, AMCâs chief of staff, said. âThe Employee of the Quarter awards allow us to recognize the outstanding contributions and impactful performance of those who have gone above and beyond. 4 FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska – The U.S. Army Garrison Alaska Directorate of Public Works will begin work to improve the main installation gate on Gaffney Road on June 2. This project will better enable the Directorate of Emergency Services to provide security while managing vehicle traffic flow.
The Main Gate and current Visitor Center will be closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to continue into October. An alternate Visitor Center will be located at the Lazelle Gate on Lazelle Road. The Lazelle Gate will be open for inbound traffic only, and both the gate and alternate Visitor Center will be open 24/7 as of June 2. 11 WIESBADEN, Germany – U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Directorate of Emergency Services, IACS, is currently in the process of upgrading the installation access system (IACS), which is expected to come online by mid-May.
Military, Family members, Civilians, Retirees, and Contractors with CACs will all be registered in the system when they enter through the main ACP on Clay Kaserne after the upgrade. However, Local National employees and all individuals holding installation access passes have to have their sponsors submit a new application to the IACS office in order to upgrade their access in the new system.
Leia Hall, Directorate of Emergency Services, IACS, Physical Security Assistant explains that the upgrade will affect the pedestrian gates as well. “Any individuals who use the pedestrian gates will need to ensure that their ID has been registered in the new system via the process stated above whether that is through the main ACP or updating their access th
