The Arkansas Country Music Awards, held Monday, June 7 at Reynolds Performance Hall on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas, paid tribute to The Natural State's legacy of country music with performances from Amy Helm, Bonnie Montgomery, Shawn Camp, Mark Currey and others.
The 34th annual Springfest in Heber Springs will be on June 11th & 12th. The festival is a free festival and is packed with great family fun starting at noon on Friday and continuing all day Saturday.
Springfest will have attractions, activities, and events at Spring Park in Heber Springs. At Springfest, you will find a arts and crafts show that will feature handmade items like jewelry, soap, leatherwork, furniture, and toys. You will also enjoy classic festival-food favorites like corndogs and onion blossoms, shaved ice, and kettle corn. Nature-loving kiddos will have plenty to explore at Springfest, including pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, the Pig Lady, and the famous Butterfly pavilion.

Ulm resident Anna Brinker has been nominated for an Arkansas Country Music Award for the fourth year in a row. This year, her album “Rain and Whiskey” has been nominated for Album of the Year.
“I love the album in its entirety, but it is not something I expected. It was a good surprise,” Brinker said.
The Arkansas Country Music Awards, Inc. is a program that honors producers, independent artists, and others involved in the Arkansas country music scene. Each year, residents are able to vote for nominees representing various categories. Voting for this year’s ACMA nominees will end Sunday, March 14. Award recipients will be announced at a red-carpet event on Monday, June 7, at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
