Cultured Country made me LOL this week, today s young hot artists getting their swerve on with the hippest of lingo in some of these songs. like today s Cultured Country pick for Sir John, Cole Swindell s big hit, Chillin It. The lyrics sound perfectly fine coming out of a younger man trying to get to know a young lady, however, out of an old fart, well, you be the judge. If I said any of that stuff to my wife she would be sure to have me, ummm, evaluated.

Collin Raye has been around country music for more than a while now, the fun thing about Collin is he s been around the Ark-La-Tex even longer.
Lisa and I had a chance to talk to him early this week and because he s a good guy to talk to and we share so much history of Texarkana, the interview ran a little long. So, Lisa and I thought it would be fun to cut it up and run it in 3 segments, one each on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Cultured Country this week is a personal admission from Sir John of what he's always wanted to be, him and just about every other little boy that grew up when we did that is. Yes, John Wayne is still king of the cowboys and that's all there is to it. IMHO.
