According to the Early Police Department, on Friday April 23, at approximately 7:25 am officers responded to the 400 block of Longhorn Drive regarding a male subject who entered a home and displayed a knife then swung at a person inside the house. One of the victims who was staying inside the house stated the suspect was her ex-boyfriend and father of her child but they have been separated for six months or so.
The man, Michael Lance Nestell, 35, from Coleman had previously been given a criminal trespass warning for the property. According to Early Police, Nestell came to the house, opened the door and entered the house without consent and while the female was telling him to get out and leave. Nestell displayed a knife to the female and a male friend in the house. Nestell then swung at the male friend inside the house but missed. Driver arrested after witnesses follow suspect vehicle into Brownwood

A15-year-old San Saba girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital Monday after the pickup she was riding in was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash at the Heartland Mall entrance on U.S. Highway 183.
Police arrested a Brownwood woman on a charge of accident with serious bodily injury after witnesses provided a license plate number and followed the vehicle to the OYO motel in Brownwood, Early Police Chief David Mercer said.
The injured girl was riding in a pickup driven by her father.
Mercer identified the woman who was arrested as Abigayle Lynn Ryan, 21.
Early police seek suspect after shots fired into game room

EARLY Early police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who fired two shots through the front door of the Travelers Game Room in the 1500 block of Early Boulevard.
Six or seven people were inside when the shots were fired from a .22 caliber handgun Wednesday morning, police said. No one was injured.
A post on the Early Police Department’s Facebook page stated:
(Wednesday) morning just after 9 am, the Early Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Early Boulevard, the Travelers Game Room, to a reported shot being fired.
