According to the Early Police Department, on Friday April 23, at approximately 7:25 am officers responded to the 400 block of Longhorn Drive regarding a male subject who entered a home and displayed a knife then swung at a person inside the house. One of the victims who was staying inside the house stated the suspect was her ex-boyfriend and father of her child but they have been separated for six months or so.
The man, Michael Lance Nestell, 35, from Coleman had previously been given a criminal trespass warning for the property. According to Early Police, Nestell came to the house, opened the door and entered the house without consent and while the female was telling him to get out and leave. Nestell displayed a knife to the female and a male friend in the house. Nestell then swung at the male friend inside the house but missed.
