In the 2016 local elections, some councillors were elected with comfortable majorities.
However, in a few wards across the city, the difference was very small - in one ward, the margin of victory was only one vote.

Seven local election candidates have clashed over how to get people out of cars and onto public transport, cycling and walking – and whether they even should.
