A Division Bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul and Anup Jairam Bhambhani directed the Principal Secretary to take immediate remedial steps to address the pathetic conditions that exist in the centre regarding cleanliness, hygiene and medical facilities and the other infirmities mentioned in the report. The Court asked the Delhi Government to file a detailed status report before the next date of hearing and said that the report shall include photographs and videography of the centre as it exists currently as well as subsequent to the remedial steps taken by the concerned Department

Former AG Apandi files police report against Thomas

KUALA LUMPUR: Former attorney general Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has joined the growing number of people who have lodged police reports against his successor Tan Sri Tommy Thomas over his recently released book My Story: Justice in the Wilderness. Apandi filed the police report at the Sentul police headquarters yesterday, claiming the purpose of the police report is for justice to be done for him and members of the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC). He also claimed that Thomas had violated the Official Secrets Acts through the publication of his memoir. “It’s (the police report) seeking justice, not only for me, but for others who have been scandalised and humiliated by the book, especially officers of the Attorney General’s Chambers.

Seven police reports lodged against ex-AG Thomas so far, says Deputy IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of seven police reports have been lodged against Tan Sri Tommy Thomas over his recently released book My Story: Justice in the Wilderness . Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said police are in the midst of completing the investigation papers (IPs) over every report against the former attorney general. As of Friday (Feb 5) morning, we have received seven police reports from all around the country. We will record the statements of everyone involved, which is part of the process of completing the IP, he told reporters after visiting the roadblock at Sungai Besi on Friday (Feb 5).
