Pastor of Columbus church where Ma Khia Bryant s funeral will be held speaks out

Author: Richard Solomon (WBNS) Updated: 4:49 AM EDT April 28, 2021 COLUMBUS, Ohio The funeral for 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant is scheduled to take place this Friday at the First Church of God on Refugee Road in Columbus. “Grief is like wet sand. When you add to that tragedy, that weight only becomes greater,” said Bishop Timothy Clarke, pastor of the church.   He told 10TV he’s felt this feeling too many times now.   Within the last four months, his church has held the funerals for Casey Goodson Jr., Andre Hill, and now Ma’Khia Bryant.

Funeral for Ma Khia Bryant scheduled for Friday

Updated: 1:44 PM EDT April 26, 2021 COLUMBUS, Ohio The funeral for 16-year-old Ma Khia Bryant is scheduled for Friday, according to Bishop Timothy Clarke, the senior pastor at the First Church of God. Clarke said the viewing and funeral will take place at the church on Refugee Road in Columbus. Additional details about the funeral, including if it will be open to the public, are still being finalized. Bryant was fatally shot by Columbus police officer Nicholas Reardon on April 20. Body camera video shows Bryant lunging at another woman with a knife. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting. Related Articles

County approves Alternate Energy Zone for Harrison Township solar field

Newark Advocate Union Ridge Solar, a subsidiary of Leeward Renewable Energy, announced plans to construct the solar field near the AEP Kirk substation on Watkins Road, on farm property north of Refugee Road, west of York Road, south of Blacks Road and on both sides of Watkins Road. “It’s our discretion whether to create an Alternate Energy Zone for the project,” County Commissioner Tim Bubb said. “We’ve met with Leeward and we’re familiar with this project. We don’t see any downside. There’s no reason not to move forward. “We’re growing megawatts instead of corn out there. You don’t have to water it and it makes electricity.”

Several booked into Noble County Jail ALBION — Several people were booked into the Noble County Jail from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning, according to jail records. Jack L. Bohon Jr., 46, of the 4700 block of Refugee Road, Baltimore, Ohio, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Tuesday by Noble County police on a warrant charging Class A misdemeanor. No further charging information provided. Bohon was held on $1,000 bond. Vernon N. Krontz, 46, of the 700 block of Washington Court, South Whitley, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday by Albion police on a warrant charging a Level 6 felony. No further charging information provided. Krontz was held on $2,500 cash bond.
