It came as something of a surprise that the
Ford Ranger is the best-selling ute in Europe, a market not well known for its pick-up truck culture.

Dubbed
The Good, The Bad and Bad-RSE, (and rated B for Bad-Ass ), the campaign features a Ranger Raptor Special Edition in a Spaghetti Western-inspired action film.
In the 3-minute 32-second sequence, the Raptor is chased by a horde of bad guys on motorbikes and trucks and in effecting its escape does plenty of skidding and sliding, something that has long been banned in Australia where a vehicle breaking traction in advertising is a big no-no.

This is the new Ford Ranger Raptor special edition. It’s a limited-run version of the pick-up, which features a handful of styling revisions inside and out. Production will be limited to around 700 units for all of Europe, of which roughly 50 will make it to the UK.
Prices are yet to be officially released but, given the nature of the upgrades, we’re expecting a premium of around £1,500 over the standard pick-up, which will push its starting price past the £50,000 mark. First deliveries are expected to arrive in October.
Exterior tweaks over the standard Ranger Raptor include matte black racing stripes, red tow hooks and a matte black finish for the wheel arch extensions, front and rear bumpers, door handles and radiator grille. Buyers also have a choice of three colours, called Performance Blue, Conquer Grey and Frozen White.
