Yreka City Council: Body Art events are a go in split decision [Siskiyou Daily News, Yreka, Calif.] Jan. 26—After tabling in November a resolution to approve street closures and other requests for Yreka’s 2021 Art Hops events, the council gave the go-ahead for the events to happen at its meeting Tuesday by a 3-2 vote. The sticking point has been in regards to two body painting events, dubbed “My Body Your Canvas.” Art Hops events are scheduled to happen six times this year on the fourth Friday of each month, from May through October, depending on the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
