the teams young stars. straight up 7:00 o'clock on a tuesday, good morning everybody it is september 26th , 2017. >> yes, good morning to you. we want an update because we were talking about how hot it was and we will get in the heat. >> we came close to the heat wave in september. how close, sue. >> so close, two-thirds rds of a heat wave between sunday and yesterday but it doesn't look like three in a row of 90 or above. we will have a nine out of 10. still muggy out there. sixty's and 70's your temperatures, bus stop buddy has a good idea just polo shirt, backpack straps there and happy, still because of the eagles victory on sunday. northeasterly at eight, look percent, maybe in the the best hair day. down to the south they are getting rain from maria from the outer backs of north carolina we will get some cloud from maria and that is the reason we won't make it to 90. eighty-five our high, mixture of sun and cloud, warm and humid, tonight we are down to 71, that is a muggy night for sure with areas of fog, moisture in the air but things are going to change, very, very soon, and we will talk about a cooler change, coming up in the seven day forecast. bob kill i. >> sue, good morning, everybody. 7:02. do you think you are having a bad start to the day. look at this guy. think how his day getting started, leaning off to the side. >> who do you think he is text ing. >> probably the boss, going to be a little late. i have proof, watch me on fox 29, bob kelly will put me on there. call me later on, send me a snap chat. >> at lee he is wearing a lime green sweat shirt. he is visible. >> thinks right where the crew s are working last night. live lot at freeway coming in toward philadelphia, starting to see volume pop, crawling out of south jersey, and walt whitman bridge, accident on the northeast extension northbound, north of the lehigh valley interchange, cleared out of the way but still with some delays. this will be here most of the morning, overturned tractor trailer just outside new castle down in delaware along limestone road which is route seven, so watch out for local detours through the morning rush hour, and in upper moreland here huntington pike at susquehanna road a crash mass transit looking good, mike and alex back to you. three men were shot in north philadelphia overnight one of them is dead. >> shootings happened right by a school so lauren johnson is at the scene. a lot of kid go and wait for the bus. >> that is right. >> reporter: aloft people take the bus in this area we are one block from spring garden at eighth street and a lot of people to have go to that area to take the bus. if you look where we are standing they have to use this sidewalk covered now in chalk circles where police found lots of shell casings, down the sidewalk just a few short feet away was other part of the crime scene. let's show you video when we first arrived around 3:15 this morning. look at the evidence markers on the side of the philadelphia housing authority building. it looks like the shooter unloaded an entire clip object this side of the building before running to the other side and firing off more bullets. he hit two men one in the thigh and hip area other man in the foot. third victim who was also hit, no one knew about for an hour because the man was lying helpless in the bushes, he died later at hahnemann hospital, people living hearsay shooting stems from a verbal altercation, yesterday, involving young children, and then adults got involved. >> we used to say word more so then anything, if anything to the point of fistfights but nothing like this. it is just stupid. too many people lose their lives over nothing basically. >> reporter: that is what happened here, really over nothing. police tried to find the shoot are responsible for the killing. people trying to make sense of the violence. woman who found that third victim in the bushes what's motional and there will be lots of emotions coming from young children and parents who were trying to explain what happened here overnight, as these youngsters wake up to head to carney elementary which you mentioned, alex, it is just a few blocks away. >> just down the street. >> happening so close to where kid are. 7:05 now. >> search is over for montgomery county man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend 's mom. >> shot himself in the wawa parking lot. steve has the story, steve. >> reporter: imagine coming to wawa at 10:00 o'clock at night noticing a car has its window blown out and going to investigate to see fit is a break in since it is back of the parking lot. you can see this spot now empty, where it is in the relation to the gas pumps and front of the store. when you see what is inside it is not just a break in but guy shot and killed himself in the head. here is the video now, they have just towed this car out around 3:00 this morgue but it is black mazda that they put the alert out for, again, just yesterday, so they have been looking for 30 year-old greg feldman for three and a half days, and this mazda, and finally found it last night and again you can see license plate matches one that they put out, kfc-4605 and so they finally found him just 17 minute drive from where they shot his ex-girlfriend's momma cross the county line in montgomery county in limerick, friday at lunchtime. as he took off from that scene he grabbed the mom's phone. she was still conscious despite being shot in the neck and the chest, and told police it was her daughter's ex- boyfriend that shot her and , once the girlfriend has a new boy once he called that phone later, the criminal complaint says feldman demand todd talk to his ex-girlfriend and she said i just wanted to you feel my pain. they were wondering how far he may have gotten since the shooting friday since nobody found him and low and behold just hours after putting out a reward offer because they had no idea where he was, he was this close and dies at his own hand, probably the same gun that he used to shoot her. by the way alex and mike, no permit to car that i gun so they will trace that gun to see how and where he got it. we may learn when left notes in that cara long with the gun but saddened go to a terrible ending apparently where that relationship with that young girl. >> for sure, all right, steve. beloved, delaware principal is back on the job this morning. >> yeah, school board put him on administrative leave, but teachers, parents, students, rallied behind him, karen why was he on leave to begin with. >> inter rang link disagreement. he is an agitate or and activist. some of that came into conflict. everyone came together to bring him back n parents, students, teachers, stake holders rally with anything support after he was removed suddenly from his position of eight years. his name is thomas edison charter school in, wilmington and he was placed on leave last week. the school board didn't tell the community prompting the teach tours hold a sick out. they didn't have enough teachers. they could in the hold classes kid had a surprise half day. the parents were outraged. >> he is just a great guy all the way around. he is supporting us. we owed to it him to support him. >> they are always storms, there are always storms in our lives. many storms in our community here in wilmington. many. but we need to learn how to dance in the storm. >> reporter: he weathered this storm, growing pains, the principal and school board members, met behind school closed doors, hammered out their issues, and resolved them. and school board president apology guyed to the greater community, and they say that everybody is ready to move forward on this one, guys. >> all right, let's move forward. you got it. did you stay up and watch monday night football. you saw the beginning of the game, members of the dallas cowboys and owner himself lock arms and took a knee before the singing of the star spangled banner last night? kind of a compromise. >> that is keyword they did that before and then they were on their feet during the national anthem, saying arizona cardinals. president trump has responded in a series of tweets this morning, saying, the booing at nfl football game last night when entire dallas team dropped to its knees was loudest i have ever heard. great anger but while dallas dropped to its knees as a team , they all stood up for our national anthem. big progress made. we all love our country. this is interesting because so many people are saying jerry jones he was kneeling, because he has been, close to trump, he necessary trump, he supported him. i guess trump is saying as long as you stand for national anthem. >> i guess. cowboys called their move a unity statement, in the wake of the president trump's fiery comments about nfl players who don't stand for the national anthem. now lets go back to sunday though, sunday's game, on sunday the entire steelers team stayed in the locker room , those are the eagles, of course. locker room during national anthem, except for that guy alejandro villanueva a former army ranger, proud to be, he stood with his hand over his heart as you can see right there. so now he insists his separation from the rest of the team was unintentional. >> every single time i see that picture of me standing by myself i feel embarrassed because unintentionally i left my teammates behind. it wasn't me stepping forward. i never planned to boycott the plan that the steelers came up with. i just thought there was to be some middle ground where i could stay in the tunnel. nobody would see me. >> apparently ben roethlisberger was in the tunnel behind him but you cannot see him in the shadow. >> he sees cameras in front of him, right. >> maybe he froze or something , i don't know. you ever go someplace and go someplace and your friends are gone. >> he knew. that is your belief but i understand he wants to be part of the team. he doesn't want to feel like he let his teammates down. >> some teammates are upset. well, anyway, he said his teammates choose to take a knee, next sunday that he respects that. so i don't know, so the country really supported his move, because his jersey sold out across america. >> number one. >> we will see what happens today with that jersey. well, steelers quarterback ben who i just talk about also commented on it, saying that beyond, he will be on the field for national anthem next weekend but whether they are standing or sitting, it does not represent their view of the military. it has nothing to do with the military, okay. coming up on 7:12 are republicans going to give up honorary peeling obama care today, another g.o.p. effort to unwind seven year-old health care law may have run out of steam on capitol hill. >> well, they don't want to give up doug but i don't think they have a choice at this point, um. >> reporter: they may not, we may see strategic retreat on the part of the republicans here. the votes just are not there. republican votes, to repeal, and replace obama care. faced with mounting pressure from protesters on one side and president trump on the other, another republican defection repealing obama care from maine senator susan collins. >> but to make this kind of sweeping change and deep cut just does not make sense to me >> with no margin for error senate majority leader mitch mcconnell will have to deciding whether to move forward with the vote that will likely go no where. >> we will know more tomorrow about where the votes are. >> reporter: senator lindsey graham a driving force behind the plan had to walk away empty handed at least for now, his best friend in the senate john mccain had already said he opposed the deal and despite presidential on twit ter there is no indication mccain will change his mind this trump care bill is a health care lemon. a disaster in the making. >> democrats will no doubt celebrate if the bill fails and republicans on capitol hill will to have decide what comes next and that will probably center on tax reform. >> i think chances of tax reform are unharmed or perhaps enhanced by the evident failure of this obama carry peel effort. >> reporter: maybe so, republicans plan an unveiling their tax reform proposal tomorrow but mike and alex, that health care reform talking about tax reform is being the easier lift. >> unreal, tax reform easier lift. need to mention john mccain's in vote there. here's an update on john mccain. senator's health according to the arizona senator his doctors have given him a very poor prognosis as he battles brain cancer. he discussed his health in an interview with 60 minutes. you probably saw. that senator mccain says doctors have given him anywhere from three to 14 percent chance of serve eiffel. during the interview senator mccain says he doesn't plan to leave the senate due to his illness he will stay until the even. >> i will read this even though it is better you hear it from him. i understand. now we're going to do what we can get the best doctors we can find and dot best we can. at the same time celebrate with gratitude a life well lived. i encourage to you listen to him say it himself because it is moving to hear it from that perspective when you go through something like that. he underwent surgery in july for a tumor that was later to be a form of cancer. his wife was with him when did he this interview. >> one courageous man, is there an under statement, sue. >> inspired by ted kennedy who went through the same thing and continued to work after his diagnosis, as well, so we wish him all of the best. we have got marie, kind of spinning around off the north carolina coast. our weather maker is high pressure and fit weren't for maria we might get in the 90's once again today because we have yet to see this cold front which will change our weather just in time for thursday. maria is now a minimal category one hurricane with 75 l moving to the north and kind of brushing by the coast of north carolina, tropical storm warnings are up, for the carolina coast, including outer banks. this is expected to weaken to the tropical storm as it head toward the northeast. thank goodness it is making that right turn. what will we get from maria? impact down the shore dangerous surf beach erosion that is moderate and high risk of rip currents as well. the advice is just not to swim on the ocean especially while maria is so close. there is rain around cape hatteras other parts of the outer banks, no rain here, we are expecting though as we mention sod cloud from this storm. 68 degrees in philadelphia right now. sixty-one in mount pocono. sixty-nine in wildwood. it is muggy every where. we will get in the mid 80's today and tomorrow and then comes our cool change, thursday's high 78 degrees and sunshine on friday, very fall friday, high of 73 and sweater weather over weekend with a high of 70ish both saturday and sunday. no matter what the weather we will be out tomorrow for hope on wheels hyundai hope on wheels our last wednesday morning to do this. we have been doing it every wednesday in september because of september is pediatric cancer awareness movement we have teamed up with hyundai, collecting money to help find a cure for childhood cancer, at children's hospital of philadelphia where they are doing ground breaking research meet us at 7:00 and 10:00 we will be at groove ground coffee in collinswood, new jersey, grovy, bob kelly. >> grovy in collinswood in the morning. 7:17. speaking of new jersey lets start there 295 northbound an accident approaching route 38, you have got the tractor trailer involved and that is causing delays from route 70, 73, again heading north on 295 elsewhere in new jersey delays on 55, 42, stacked up from the ac expressway in toward philadelphia, westbound on the schuylkill expressway, this guy hasn't moved in 15 minutes here, westbound an accident right here near conshohocken causing a delay leaving town from the boulevard all the way out toward conshohocken. we have haze here on i-95 southbound you can see brake lights from cottman avenue in through girard and then an accident just report heard southbound on the blue route 476 right here near saint david/villanova interchange on the southbound side. mass transit though looking good, mike and alex, back over to you. listen to this... bob kelly. >> i'm listening. >> take your time witt. >> you want me to say it then. >> he said listen to this like were you about to say it. >> i was to go say listen toal es nice hand off. >> thank you. i've got it. philadelphia's been named a national talent hub, just 17 creative entrepreneurial evening annes cross the country. >> i agree with this completely. we have so many talented people. honor comes from the loom mina , it is a like foundation that identifies communities after evaluating cities that attract, listen to this, track , retain, cultivate talent. philadelphia received $350,000 in grant funding over 42 months to support local efforts to educate more people the funding will go to graduate -- to graduate, what? >> maybe you should hand it back over to me. >> the funding will go to a. >> a graduate program in philadelphia or great wait philadelphia maybe it is called graduate philadelphia which is a program. >> that is it that supports adults who have college credit >> the name of the program is called graduate philadelphia. >> there you go. >> boom, did you that. which i never did. >> apparently. >> doh. >> you want me to keep it or hand it back. >> keep going. >> 7:19. what would it take for to you give up your seat on a crowded flight. you remember with the united airlines, it is over book, they start offering these things for credit, right. >> i will give up my window seat for the... >> so would it be money, would it be food, would you do it out of the kindness of your heart? we will talk bit next. >> i'll eat... >> top it, only for social media and instagram. >> they don't want your money they want your nudes, hackers take control of your computer until you take your clothes off. that is only a story we would have on good day. you ever on a airline over booked and they say i'll give you $200. >> so you give up your seat. >> yeah, i give up my seat for ... >> okay. >> but how much -- if they just kept going higher and higher with the money would you give up your seat, what if there was a bidding war for it >> can you imagine. >> i would love it. >> lauren, tell us more. >> the limit is up to $10,000. that is how much an airline can pay to you give up your seat. >> 10,000. >> my parents just got $10,000 so united is doing because we all remember that video of the passenger forcibly dragged off the united flight a couple months ago. >> yes. >> they made change toss prevent that from happening again. one of the changes start next month, i don't have any details. i just know it is a bidding process. >> berks you stink. >> they are looking at crowded flight and they say hey, passengers how much will it take to give up your seat. then you say, okay, $3,000. okay, $5,000. the won with the lowest bids wins, they get booted off the plane and they get their money and new passengers get on. >> so there is a person in uniform who is an auctioneer coming on to the plane and says,... that is what happens now. you all have been in that situation where they start low , $200 voucher, everybody stays seated. $400. half an hour goes by, $700 and then maybe one person raises their hand. it just takes forever. they are trying to make that process move faster and they are meeting more private i have a plan, i will book myself on a a lot of flights that i know are busy. >> i'm serious. >> miami, popular places. >> really popular flights and just sit there and make 10 grand every single time. >> i have been thinking about this. >> ten flights, hundred thousand dollars. >> mardi gras. >> boom. >> remember super bowl is. >> going to the super bowl flight. >> agreed. >> what else, book a lot of tickets and then we sell them, basically. >> yeah. >> that was kind of my point, lauren. >> yeah. >> they will in the keep going high fur someone takes the bid >> you go on a plane with the paddle with the number on it and then this happens. >> auctioneer. >> you got it, $10,000, you are going to powe keepcy instead of miami. >> we will take it. >> yes. >> i think she's speechless. >> i'm confused. i heard bid nothing my ear was that someone doing it live or was that taped. >> i could do it if i had to. >> okay. lauren, thank you. >> thank you. >> you could do it. >> because they raise money are you the person that does auctions. >> i refuse, i get too nervous and then i buy it myself. then i'm broke. >> i think people are on to us >> they are on to us. >> sorry. >> she's on to us. >> sorry. >> today is the day sixers, they hit the court again, for training camp, so, a brand new executive is here, and you better be a lot of fun. we have never met him. he lives in wilmington. he better be fun or we will throw him out of the studio. if you have a question about the sixers let us know. after 8 years of chris christie, is kim guadagno the change new jersey really needs? guadagno is christie's hand-picked successor. says she's "proud to be part of the christie administration." guadagno was chris christie's right hand as our schools came under attack, critical services were underfunded, and our credit rating was downgraded...11 times. from the bridge to the beach, we've seen it all, and we've had enough. kim guadagno isn't the change we need. two local school districts lower merion and william penn were featured in a documentary that says the state of pennsylvania dulls out dollars unfairly. we will talk about that in just a second. i have a feeling that had nothing to do with what the. >> the video. >> footage. >> i think i'm in the wrong spot. >> still 7:30. >> so we're probably in the round up, aren't we, keith? >> oh. that is about the next story that is coming up. >> yes. >> so now, are we in the right spot. >> tell us where you want us to go. they want to us say hello, hi, everybody, we're having a really fun tuesday. >> listen to this, we also have another segment we are doing quincy or not. >> we will do sue first. >> lets talk about quincy because this is interesting, when you think about breaking up with people where would you do it? they say, go to a public place or they freak out, other people are around. >> just a chance to show head less people. >> anyway, there are about five placeness philadelphia that are a writer for philadelphia daily news or philly.com, we will figure that out. anyway he looked around at five different places where you should go to break up. they are genius. quincy will get to the five places and break up with somebody. >> i thought this was supposed to be getting married, couple season. >> you have to dump somebody to coupl up with someone. >> here goes sue. >> we have to make room, that is right. >> national key lime pie day toys day, maybe that will comfort you after your break up but buddy, he is not involved in that. he is just trying to get to school. temperatures in the 60's and 70's. mild, muggy, polo shirt is good idea this morning. 68 degrees with 90 percent relative humidity, and maria, the hurricane swirling off shore, and bringing some rain to north carolina, mostly in the outer banks no rain expect here. we will get cloud cover. that means a high of 85 instead of 90 today and we will still be humid. sunny and warm in the lehigh valley high of 87. at shore that threat still there, high of 79. radio partner 101.1 more fm with your forecast on the radio from frustrates all mornig long, bob kelly. >> hi, sue good morning. it is a tuesday waking up in a fog? well, because we are foggy, haze, here's a live look at route 202 near easton road, montgomery county, the suburbs , hello northeast philadelphia, southbound i-95 tapping brakes approaching academy to girard morning crawl and then north on i-95 right here near walt whitman bridge there is tire debris all over the place, retreads between the stadium and approaching center city. in new jersey, northbound lanes of 295 an accident approaching route 38 off to the shoulder there. there is rest of the travel times for gang coming from new jersey stacked up on 42 and southbound lanes of 476 as awe approach saint david, villanova watch for an accident taking out the left lane. otherwise mass transit looking good, mike and alex, back over to you. this is a weird segment i will say at the top here. it involves nude photos, of you. >> and hackers. >> yes. >> apparently now cyber hackers out there they have reached a new level. they just don't want your money but they want name pictures of you. >> they are called ransom wear , rand some being held hostage and tech expert anthony manning lucy, who apparently has many of these pictures. no. so tell us what is going on, people are being held hostage. >> here's the scoop, ransom wear has been around a long time this is called end ransom wear hence nude. back in the day which isn't that long ago in technology it was, considered craze that i someone would put a virus on your computer and ask you for money in the form of bit coin. hackers got bored of. that now they want townsend them fresh nudes and they will sell it on the dark webb. >> this is actual screen shot when it comes up on your computer. >> exactly. >> you are going on the internet and this pops up. >> you could be trick to click a link, maybe an e-mail someone spooks you, sends a comes up and what it does is it encrypts files on your computer. they are not taking those files. they are leaving them on your computer but you cannot access them. >> does it seem as if you're frozen out now and you, the only way you will get released back in the day, you gave them money,. >> exactly. >> so i'll take you a thousand dollars get me back. get that you will crap off my computer. but now they want nudes. >> we are not talking about one or two, they want 10, 10 of them. >> exactly. >> if you look at that screen, they give you an e-mail address and send a picture of yourself and other fur. they then go on social media to verify it is actually you. >> who would fall for that? i can only think maybe it was somebody who was looking at child porn or something and really could not call anybody and say, they got me, i can't you know what i mean and they cannot admit what they were looking at. >> call a technician or something. >> can you come over here i'm looking at child porn. they are being held hostage but is anybody falling for this. >> it is only a couple daisy will say yes. here's the scoop, it is not a child porn thing or anything like. that people do not backup their documents. we talk all the time backup your files. lets say you have your last term paper or you will not graduate in time you didn't back it up. >> then you just call a technician or go to best buy. >> i want my term paper back. >> here's your degree. >> you are saying they can't figure it out. >> if they are not backed up, you cannot get it. encryption was used for good, these hackers are turning it around for bad. so, again, if you have a backup of your files, you get virus, who cares, you restore your files, restore your computer it stinks, you lose a couple hours of your life, maybe some money and you don't necessity how to do it and move on if you don't backup and you get this virus you got to send them some nudes or you will not get your file back. how important are they? lets say you have your children's pictures or something that you should be backup but didn't and you don't want to lose those memories. >> do you get the pictures back? no. >> maybe. here's what you have seen in the pennsylvania follow. are years we have been paying bit coin ransom. only one time did they not return files. we have done it numerous times in the it world. is there a chance they can say ha, thanks peace out. >> when you say first of all, what is a fresh nude photo. how do they know when you took it? >> i guess recent. >> well, you have to have a news paper. >> it is today, look at this, i need town fold it. >> ten all in the same day. >> do they want different pose is yes, adjust the lighting. >> where do they say you are sending them dark webb. >> dark webb is a part of the interest in it where hackers go where they sell social security numbers, private information that they can use to basically ruin your life. >> this is stupid. >> what sit called in ransom wear. >> mike, you better hope it doesn't come up on your computer. >> we all hope so. >> no, no. >> we might not need to give him ransom wear he might just offer them. >> no one wants to see my floppy disk. >> hey, by the way, this guy right here, is very, very famous for his fancy socks. he has little pirate on his socks. he has special socks. >> this is to the solute to the encoders out there. good pirate. >> good pirate. >> is that someone that hacks people. >> is that what it looks like. >> sometimes. >> these are argyle socks. >> nice. >> we will do a fashion show a lot of guys are wearing fancy socks with suits. there are do's and don't's. we will have a complete sock fashion show. >> a lot of our politicians like to show us their socks. >> thanks, anthony. >> it is real deal prince harry and megan markel that he take their love to the next level. how? they are now everyone likes to an ice those things so apparently shirt megan markle is wearing is being scrutinized because of the white button down shirt. apparently that is known as the husband shirt. um-hmm. so people are wondering because we are looking into everything was this a sign? so here they are sitting next to each other in the wheelchair tennis event in toronto at harry's invictus game for wounded veterans. megan markl. is a actress starring in the tv show suits and they have been dating for about a year now. you know you are a big deal because you sit next to someone we get excited but they were holding hands. that is great too. coming up at 7:43. big day for sixers training camp will begin in a few hours , and what do we have to look forward to this season. what did we learn. we will discuss next. our veterans have given us the rights and freedoms that we have and we enjoy today. ready. aim. fire. and it's important for us to let them know that we will never forget their service. fire. it was steve's idea to have this cemetery. this was supplied to the veterans, giving us a final resting place. we owe everything to steve for what he gave us here. i wanted to make sure that we just didn't say thank you to veterans, we had tangible things to show, and i think we've accomplished that. [ "taps" playing ] is what the time? we have to do the time a lot this morning. 7:45. >> 7:45. >> we have people say we don't say time enough, sorry. >> sorry. >> 7:45. >> it is 7:46 now, live look at route 309, this is 309 right here near route 73 off in the background there. we see fender-bender taking out what would be the southbound side of 309, right near flourtown downtown we will go tapping brakes across town on the vine street expressway over to the schuylkill. accident southbound blue route right here near saint david, villanova interchange, accident on the boulevard, right by the roosevelt mall my old stumping ground there boulevard southbound right here near cottman avenue. later today for kelly's classroom are you ready? there is a local school celebrating 100 years and ihm nuns have been there for 100 years. >> they must be tired. >> we will have some cake, extra recess, and a special guest during good day at 9:00, kelly's classroom. i will hang with the nuns later this morning. sueby has the forecast in 152nd. it is 7:47. we have two hurricanes we are watching awaiting any minute the update from the national hurricane center from maria. is there lee, a category two but luckily staying out in the middle of the ocean. we are still at 75 miles an hour winds for maria as it brushes by north carolina takes a hard right to the northe and avoids direct contact at lee for the coast but there are tropical storm watches up for the entire north carolina coast especially outer banks, folks evacuated there. for us, dangerous surf, moderate beach erosion and then high
