watched with glee and joy in his eyes. in case you missed it earlier today it was absolutely amazing his wish to become k9 officer coming true and the first step in his transformation right here at fox5. here's the deal. holly as we just saw earlier this morning was with him when he learned that he had to go where, holly? what was his first stop? >> well he had to come here to fox5 because he has to get his officially issued police uniform because, you know, he's going to be looking for bad guys today. he's going to be helping keep the city safe. let me tell you this right now. every k9 officer on the d.c. metro police force wishes that he was riding around in that right there. he's got a very special ride to take him on his mission today. let me just tell you, it's not a good day d.c. it is an awesome day d.c. because this wish is being granted for ember. he's just eight years old. he's been fighting cystic fibrosis. he lost a lung when he was just two years old. and he has a feeding tube. he had to he's recently been able to go to school and make friends. his one wish, his one wish was to put the bad guys away! he might be able to do it with these right here. he wanted to be a k9 police officer and guess what, chief newsham heard about it end said we need this boy on the force. all right. how we feeling ember? >> i'm feeling great. and oh also i'm a little ner nervous. super excited and mostly excite. >> most happy and excited. >> that's good. what do you think about all these people knowing who you a are? >> whoo!? >> yeah! it. lots of weather to talk about. this is not going to be major event. going to be minor event but the concern of course is the cold temperatures we've had over overnight, and our daytime highs expected in the low 30 today's what falls will stick. so anybody that's lived here for any period of time you know that sometimes half inch or inch of snow can cause problems than the bigger events when they come at the wrong time. late morning early afternoon in time for t hour. 30 now in washington. it feels like 24 with the breezes out of the east. all right. so two pieces of energy kind of phasing together. i don't really want to over sell it this is not going to be major storm just enough energy we'll come together to create a little area of air pressure. and that's going to throw enough moisture back in our region we're looking at a brief period, kind of a burst of snow across the dc area later this morning during the afternoon hours. the potential is there that we can get a coating perhaps half inch to an inch of snow across the immediate washington area little later today. so again timing on this i think by early afternoon and then through four, 5:00 o'clock this afternoon we'll have some bands of light snow. there's our forecast totals, and you can see the higher amounts are off to the north and east. but that's according part of our viewing here prince george's county, an run dell county up towards columbia and ellicott city and howard county an inch or two. lesser amounts out to the west. i'll have plenty more details on this winter weather advisory goes into effect at 1:00 o'clock this afternoon for those counties d.c. and points north and east and we'll look at that map and talk more about this. i want to show you future cast trying to give us snow as early as noon. we'll come back and resist these maps. but snow this afternoon we'll warm it up this weekend and the snow should melt off pretty quick. plenty more on the weather coming board is expected to approve a project for a self storage facility to go on a remnants of historic cemetery. annie has more on the controversy. annie? >> yes, hey guys we've been following this story for few weeks now. protesters holding signs that read black lives matter and honor our cemetery gathered at a montgomery county board meeting last night. now the battle is over saving the sight of a historically black cemetery known as the moses african cemetery here in bethesda maryland. members every the church are protesting to save the sacred ground for community built by freed slaves. now, last night, the board approved plans to build this storage facility despite the protests, and church members argued the storage facility will cover the burial ground but the owners say any remnants of cemetery are win a smaller plot of land they gave back to the county. take a listen. >> it's disappointing i hope by the time we open they change their mine. we're very excited to be a part of the community as they said we are the first ones that donated land to the project to the green lakes so hopefully wounds will be healed and they'll be receptive to it because we want them to be a part of behind the film. daniel else berg played by matthew reece in the film. he was a us military analyst who actually is the one who leaked the pentagon papers to the washington post. he met in hotel room with b character. in the movie world they put printed out all the papers and made it look realistic but i spoke to daniel else berg what that risk was of actually giving these papers to the washington post and risking his life in the sense of going to prison, and i wanted to speak to him about and he tells me about that night and how scared he was and how he had to hide for 13 days from the fbi. it's pretty fascinating but here's the cast including steven spielberg from last night's premier and daniel else berg the analyst who leak the pentagon papers to the post. watch this. >> this is a devastating security breach that was leak out of the pentagon. the most highly classified documents of the war. >> the time says 7,000 pages detailing how the white house has been lying about the >> you know it's a love. it's a total passion. >> yeah. >> making people feel like a kid again. it's a great job. >> it's illusion. there's a lot that goes into it. i would say is it part science? is it part pure trickery of the eye? >> there's lot of things there's psychology, optics, absolutely we try to always be a breast of the latest technologist that are out there. try to hide the technology and use it in another way. >> you're part psychologist, part magician. what kind of training do you go through to be able to do what you do and do it so darn well? >> just do a bunch of shows. >> yeah. >> the audience will tell you. >> but let's see. you've invented stuff for david copperfield. >> i invented stuff for lot of people. >> yeah. >> i just invent stuff for me and somebody sees it can i do that, sure, why not. >> i'm intrigued how does your mind work do you look at an object and say what can i make that do. >> a loll of inspiration from music, cinema, live experience, all sorts of ways to generate ideas for a show. >> you're one of seven illusionists at the show. each one of you do different things. >> you work in concert. >> when the producer first put the show together trying to imagine if you are a magic super hero what would your super power be. that way he can give us moniker some sort of character that fit to our specialty. we're all specialists in our own genre. >> lock at that. i know you try to tailor each show so that each one is always different which i fine just amazing too you're able to come up with something differ each time. >> yeah. well i mean we can plug and play did you have things and depends on who is available for the show and so it's going to be -- you'll see thing you've never seen before. >> okay. speaking of seeing thing we'll give you a guys a little taste of what you might see if you come out to the show. and okay. i don't even know what to say. >> i'm going to let you -- would you like to learn a trick. >> i'll show it to you first. you're not supposed to look and then i'll teach teach it to you. >> that way you can be the life of the party. >> imagine that. the best part about this you can find anything in any party environment you don't need to buy anything or carry anything with you. >> okay. >> little bit of knowledge you can be the life of the pear. we have a safety opinion. >> okay. some do me a favor with your right hasn't hold it like that. >> i can do that. >> and do you play cards?
