the west but i want you to take a closer look. right now we're catching a little bit of drizzle that's been moving through delaware and now southern new jersey. so watch for that as you're heading out. it's not a big deal. the heavier rain comes later on this evening and tonight but at any point today you could see a little drizzle or a little brief shower moving in. 50 degrees, a new number coming in to us right now. normally our average high for this at any time is 48. we've already surpassed that. even 50 in allentown. 49 in reading. 50 in trenton. 49 in millville. 54 degrees in dover, delaware. it's mild not only this afternoon but this morning as well. at 7:00 a.m. it's 51, mostly cloudy skies. by lunchtime, it's 60 with a good deal of cloud cover. at 3 o'clock, we'll be in the local 60's, your high today is 63. even at 5 o'clock it's 60 degrees so the real steadier rain comes later this evening from west to east. at 7 o'clock it's 60-degrees with some of that rain falling. kind of a lot going on with the weather today and tomorrow. very warm today. so, enjoy that one day of warmth. tomorrow clouds -- and we have clouds and a chance for drizzle at any point today but the steadier rain arrives later this evening and tonight. tomorrow it's down right blustery. we'll show you what that's going to look like in the seven day in a couple minutes, matt. >> all righty, karen we'll get ready. so far this morning it's mostly road work that we've been watching but now there's a crash here at the 6 o'clock hour on the northbound side of 95 off ramp to street road in bucks county. seems like we often have accidents here. and the one this morning is partially blocking the ramp. you can see penndot on the scene of the crash. they've got the left lane blocked on the off-ramp but traffic is getting by in the right lane. however, if it stays out here very long you will see delays start to form on the northbound side of 95 headed towards street road. at this point traffic is getting by okay. on the big picture coming south on 95 towards center city isn't a problem just yet. speeds still in the 40's and 50's. looking good on the schuylkill as well. and let's check the one that connects the two, it's the vine street expressway. from time to time we've seen a little westbound slowing approaching 76 but right now things don't look too bad here in center city. however, in plymouth township still have that couch on the northbound side of the northeast extension just beyond mid-county just past the east west turnpike so watch out for restrictions there and on the east west turnpike there's still a westbound work zone near fort washington. couple lanes blocked there but the eastbound side is all opened on this tuesday morning, matt. >> thank you, matt. someone stole a girl's custom walker right outside of her wilmington home. the 10-year-old girl suffers from cerebral palsy and wonders why anyone would take it from her. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live in the satellite center with details on this search for that walker thief. katherine. >> reporter: matt, that's right, this was a custom walker. the family left it by accident on the lawn last week. now they're hoping that someone will return it. >> it just makes me very disappointed as a child that a grownup would take my walker. >> reporter: 10-year-old kiersten edwards alexander of wilmington has cerebral palsy. she says since her walker was taken from her front lawn she can only rely on her wheelchair for mobility. >> it's very hard to not walk right now because i love walking. >> reporter: surveillance camera from last thursday shows a white pickup truck stopping in front of her home on rodney drive. it was within a minute of kiersten and her mother pulling out of the driveway the walker accidentally left on the lawn. a man dressed in what appears to be construction gear loaded up the walker and left. a neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous said her home cameras captured those moments. >> it looked like a scrap metal truck like if they were scrap metaling through the neighborhood but it looked really suspicious because she left and then he pulled up. >> reporter: it's a custom walker 3 feet tall and royal blue. by the time kiersten's mother realized her mistake and called home, the walker was already gone. >> it's a heartless person. why would you steal a child's walker? why would you steal a walker off somebody's property. why take it. >> reporter: new castle county police are investigating this case. if you have any tips, give them a call. we're live from the satellite center katherine scott, channel6 "action news. tam. >> katherine thank you for that. new on "action news" a gunman shot a man in the somerdale section in the back. chopper6 was over the scene bridge street and loretto avenue last night. the man is in critical condition. police are still working this case. and a serious crash in lindenwold has injured at least one person. this was the view from chopper6 late last night along the 2,000 block of egg harbor road o the crash happened just before 10 o'clock in the evening. the road was closed during the investigation and authorities have not released many more details. >> the driver who struck and killed man in bucks county and then took off running is still on the loose. the crash happened early yesterday morning on the 2900 block of state road in croydon. the driver struck 46-year-old james aufschlag, lost control, drove into a ditch, then took off on foot through a swamp and escaped. this happened as aufschlag was left wounded on the side of the road. >> it was a good samaritan from -- from the traffic, got out of his car and ran down and got a blanket for him and we were talking to him saying the ambulance is on its way, it's going to be okay. >> despite their best efforts, aufschlag died at the hospital. police have recovered the car which has a large hole in the windshield. investigators do not believe the owner of that car was the one behind the wheel. if you have any information call bristol township police. >> we have learned that the deaths of two temple university students who died last week in separate incidents were both overdoses. 24-year-old michael patas was found dead in the university library on november 30. this past saturday police were called to the off campus apartment of 20-year-old james orlando. he was also unresponsive when the medics got to the scene. the medical examiner did not say which drug was found in their system. temple university says it is grieving the loss of both of them as their semester comes to a close. >> one of the most popular video sites on the internet is addressing concerns that it allows matt. youtube is beefing up its effort to screen the videos that pour into the web site. youtube's ceo says it will increase the number of people overseeing content to over 10,000 next year. it has been under fire for posting videos targeting children. youtube received 400 hours of new videos every minute and will use the new reviewers to help train its machine that's learning to flag questionable content. let's talk stocks. mixed day for stocks as the dow closed at another record. while tech stocks sold off. report on the trade deficit due out later today. mcdonald's is bringing back its dollar menu starting january 4th. the new menu will feature items priced at two dollars and three dollars. the low cost lineup is an effort by mcdonald's to win back value oriented diners. it morning a blizzard is dumping snow and bringing strong winds to minnesota. it caused many schools to dismiss early yesterday. many people headed home early worried about the whiteout conditions on rural roads. the snowflake also led to flight cancellations and delays at hector international airport outside fargo north dakota. >> well, we might get a little rain around here but it won't be that. >> we're ahead that of system so we have that mild flow but that colder air is coming our way. not necessarily the snow but the colder air hitting us. let's take a look right now at storm tracker6 live double scan and we can get a better view here with this closeup radar showing some sprinkles there near dover, cape may, in parts of south jersey heading towards the city. the bulk of the rain still out to the west. but i've been reminding you that at any point we could see a little drizzle or brief shower and that's what we're starting to see in parts of the region. let's go outside right now show you what it looks like. sky6 looking live right now at the christmas tree at city hall. pretty shot right there. current temperature is 50 degrees, certainly not feeling like the holidays, right. the dewpoint is 46 degrees. that atmosphere really moistening up right now. the winds are southeasterly. they've switched to the southeast. that's going to bring in the mild air. no problems thus far with fog. satellite and radar showing the bulk of the rain is out to the west. we can still see these little sprinkles that are moving through and we'll get a chance for that before that heavier rain hits. here's a wider view of the satellite 'cause you can really see this front. so here's that front, right. behind it we have much colder air. that colder air is moving its way after this front comes through. so let's walk you through the changes because they're pretty significant over the next 24, 48 hours. high today 63. i think this is really the last warm day we'll see in awhile. at 8:00 a.m. 52 with clouds and sun. 10:00 a.m., 56. at any point little bit of drizzle, lots of clouds today. at lunchtime mostly dry and 60. at 3 o'clock, 63. at 6 o'clock, 60 degrees so holding at that high for quite awhile. your high today 63 and temps staying in the 60's for awhile and we'll watch that rain move from west to east and you can kind of see that on future tracker. so again at any point a shower could move through but this is a look at lunchtime. most of the area pretty dry and then we watch that front get closer so at 5 o'clock this evening, we see that some heavy rain hits the lehigh valley. this model showing it holds off until maybe 8:00, 8:30 in the i've 95 -- i-95 corridor. look at the temperatures behind it. so wednesday at 4:00 a.m., tomorrow morning, you're still in the 40's. it's still a mild start to the day so you wake up and it's mild. then the temperatures just keep dropping and that colder air moves in through the day. by the afternoon it's really feeling chilly with a gusty wind, so much cooler than it will be this afternoon. so here's your exclusive accuweather 7-day. today 63, not bad. our usual high is 48. the steadier rain arrives are watching a little bit of yellow start to form here matt and tam on the southbound side of 95 just from allegheny into girard so far. it's our typical morning slowing, just starting to develop heading down towards center city. if you're traveling northbound on 95, we had a crash on this ramp. it's the off-ramp to street road right here and it looks like the crash has cleared but there's still a little bit of a delay trying to work itself out coming north of woodhaven through this point at street along 95 in bucks county. again, because of that earlier accident. on the pennsylvania turnpike all morning long we've been talking construction. westbound side close to fort washington it appears it hasn't wrapped up yet but at this point the speeds look okay coming west of willow grove, we're in the upper 60's so we're not complaining a whole lot about that. still complaining about that couch though. a couch along the northeast extension northbound side just beyond the east-west turnpike beyond mid-county. watch out for it there in the left lane. elsewhere on 476, some midday warnings for you. they're going to be watching the potholes along the blue route both directions between baltimore pike and route 30 villanova. most of the days this week they'll be out there between 9:00 and 2:30 so you may want to avoid the blue route during midday. tree removal going on along the northbound side of one coming away from the old granite run mall headed up towards rose tree park. watch out for trees during the midday. they'll be working along route one township line road, some sign installation here going on from 9:00 until 3:00 today state road can get you around that work zone, matt. >> thank you, matt. a hearing gets under way today in a defamation lawsuit filed against president trump. the accuser came forward during the presidential campaign claiming trump had inappropriately touched her a claim that the president nice. the plaintiff, former "apprentice" couldn't assistant summer zervos is suing the president saying he made false statements you go her. about her. >> it's not a permanent call but the supreme court says the trump administration can fully enforce its travel ban for the time being. this ban is the third iteration of the president's proposal. it restricts travel for people from six mostly muslim countries chad "action news" reporter katherine scott is live from the satellite center with this girl's story. it meant everything to her, katherine, to have that walker. >> reporter: it really did, tam. she's so upset about it and she's really hoping someone will give it back. the walker was left on the family's front lawn last week by accident. by the time the family realized it, it was already gone. >> a heartless person like why would you steal a which i'll's walker. >> reporter: a walker her daughter relies on. 10-year-old kiersten edwards alexander of wilmington has cerebral palsies. without her walker she's only able to move around by wheelchair. >> it makes me very disappointed as a child that a grownup would take my walker. >> reporter: home surveillance video from last thursday shows a white pickup truck stopping in front of her home on rodney drive within a minute of kiersten and her mother pulling out of the driveway. a man dressed in what appears to be construction gear loaded up the walker and left. a neighbor who wants to remain anonymous captured those moments on her home cameras. >> it looked like a scrap metal truck like if they were scrap matteling -- metaling through the neighborhood but it looks suspicious because she left and he pulled up. >> reporter: now kiersten and her family are hoping the 3-foot tall royal blue custom walker will be returned. >> it's very hard to not walk right now because i love walking. >> reporter: new castle county police are investigating this case and they want to hear from you if you have any tips. we're live from the satellite center katherine scott, channel6 "action news. >> hope she gets it back. thank you, katherine. new this morning, former philadelphia district attorney seth williams has been moved to a federal prison in oklahoma. williams had been in a federal lockup in philadelphia since his sentencing on october 24th. federal prison records show he has since been relocated to the federal prison in oklahoma city. williams pleaded guilty in june to one count of accepting a bribe from a businessman. the judge sentenced him to five years in prison. his release date is set for november of 2021. authorities say this man broke into two vehicles at a day care in burlington county. it happened as parents the owners of the vehicles were inside the goddard school on route 38 in moorestown. in both cases, the thief got away with bags left inside the cars. moorestown police believe the same man may have broken into vehicles at other day cares in south jersey. >> police have charged three teenagers with murder for the beating death of a man in the mayfair section of philadelphia. 14-year-old brandon conrad 17-year-old emmanuel harris and 16-year-old malik page are charged as adults also facing robbery charges. police say the teens killed kevin cullen during a robbery in the 4200 block of lorring street on november 25th. all three are students at lincoln high school. >> time is now 6:36. the special election for a u.s. senate seat in alabama is in one week. gop candidate roy moore will campaign today with former white house chief strategist steve bannon. president trump himself threw his support behind the candidate on monday. the white house has said the president plans to hold a rally on the florida panhandle just across the alabama border but no events in alabama are scheduled. several women accuse moore of sexual misconduct, some when they were just teenaged girls decades ago. moore has denied the allegations. the republican national committee has reversed course now saying it will provide campaign resources to moore in the final week. new this morning michigan congressman john conyers who faces claims that he sexually harassed former employees is expected to announce his retirement today. at least six former female members of his staff have accused conyers of sexual harassment and other improper behavior over the last two weeks. conyers had denied the claims as he faced growing calls for him to resign, calls that he appears to have answered. ian conyers, his great grandnephew plans to run for his seat. ian conyers is currently a state senator in michigan. >> a controversial truck scale project in the upper perkiomen school district has been terminated. last night a newly elected school board voted five to four to stop the building of a new $58 million new middle school. the school district has already spent over $10 million on the project. as you can see there construction has already started. and it had been approved by the prior board despite some widespread opposition from residents who said that they were worried that their school taxes would go up. >> turning no you to now to accuweather. karen rogers says it's your last chance to go outside until the spring. >> ever. let's look at the temperatures. 51 degrees already. the dewpoint 47. a lot of moisture in the atmosphere. the winds have switched to the southeast this morning and that's going to usher in milder air. the pressure is falling ahead of that low pressure that's going to bring us the rain. visibility not an issue at the moment. satellite and radar showing lots of clouds. here's a couple sprinkles that are moving through. a few more where that came from so we may see some showers earlier on and we have some new timing of this rain. you can see it's approaching right now. the main front is still well out to the west but some showers developing ahead of that and now moving through central pennsylvania. here is the wider look here and you can see that cold front. it's still out there to the west. behind it much colder air. that's going to be a big game changer for us. we finally have cold air coming in and settling in over the region. not today, though. the high is 63 ahead of that front. at 8:00 a.m., it's 52 with lots of clouds, maybe a little drizzle here or there. at 10:00 a.m., 56. at lunchtime, you're sitting at 60. at 3 o'clock, 63 with some showers developing to the west and at 6 o'clock, some rain arriving and 60 degrees. this is a new model run of future tracker and i want to show you what it looks like. at lunchtime still mostly dry. in the lehigh valley and the poconos, maybe a shower sneaking in. but at 5 o'clock, we see some showers developing and moving closer to the city. that heavier rain still looks to hold off in the city until later on this evening and tonight. this is a look at 8:30 and you see that area of yellow and orange. that means some pretty steady rain with this front so that comes through. this latest model run shows it's a little slow to exit. at 4:30 in the morning when we're on the air and ready to go, it may still be wet in south jersey and delaware. but look at these temperatures at that point. still in the 40's through much of the region early tomorrow morning. so, it's going to take a little while for that cold air to filter in but when it does tomorrow afternoon, you're really going to feel the difference with highs only of 49 degrees. here's your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, today 63 with rain arriving. it's mild. tomorrow turning windy and chilly, 49 degrees for your high. it's going to feel cold tomorrow afternoon. thursday's brisk and chilly, 45 despite the sunshine. on friday, we could get a late night snow shower in a few spots as moisture comes up from the south, 41 degrees. saturday a coastal storm looks to miss us and precipitation will mostly be off the coast but as it brushes us by we may get a rain or snow shower on saturday, 42. sunday partly sunny and cold, 41. and staying pretty cold on monday, 41 degrees for your high despite the sunshine and that overnight lows just in the 20's. so that cold air is with us. long term models say it's going to be with us for a little while so any time we get precipitation late next week or the week on it could be a snow shower. >> all right. 6:41. a fast moving wildfire explodes in size just in a matter of hours and it's now threatening even more homes north of l.a. >> an officer's body camera video shows the moment he saved a baby who was less than a month old. we also have their happy reunion just days later. matt. >> not so happy here its a new crash, matt in springfield township montgomery county. northbound side of 309 as you head towards the pennsylvania turnpike. one of two lanes is blocked. we'll keep watching this and talk about a situation coming to the schuylkill expressway later today when "action news" continues on this tuesday morning. >> ♪ toasting dad: i'm not one for speeches. but here's to... to many more years of friendship. and feasts! crowd: [laughing, cheering] to presents! a mi familia que lo es todo. ♪ to being right here, right now, with you. sfx: dog bark. and you. toasting dad: i guess what i'm trying to say is, here's to family. we're proud to bring your family amazing value every day. t.j. maxx. marshalls. homegoods. family is the greatest gift. >> ♪ >> 6:44. tuesday morning, good morning everyone. center city, live on sky6, all lit up, 50 degrees right now, so pretty comfy. getting up to 63 today with rain coming this evening. >> really beautiful there as a little bit of the dawn starts to break through and doesn't look so bad behind you either matt. >> not so bad so far. today is a very special day for matt and people like him. >> uh-oh. >> it is international ninja day. >> ah-ha. >> are you a ninja. >> how did you know? >> practice your moves over there. we'll check how we're moving on the schuylkill expressway. little bit slow now here in the westbound lanes its not terrible. just a little bit of morning volume from university out to this point at south. during the midday it will be substantially worse because from 9:00 until 3:00 they're going to block one of these two lanes on the eastbound side of the schuylkill for construction. so, watch out for that if you're headed towards university city during the midday today. on the big picture speeds are dropping. not because of accidents, just morning volume on the schuylkill and 95 now in the 20's as you travel about. and we were watching a crash on the ramp from limerick linfield to 422 eastbound but luckily that just cleared out so everything is reopened there. you're good to go at this point with just some building volume heading in towards king of prussia but not so good here. this is 309 in springfield township montgomery county. the northbound side by flourtown, church road, you can see this accident just the right lane getting by heading toward the pennsylvania turnpike. so you can expect delays coming north of chelt hem. might want to use bethlehem pike instead of 309 northbound hilltown township bucks county hilltown pike closing today and tomorrow from 8:00 to 4:00 for pipe replacement. rickert road gets you around that. london grove chester county flaggers will be out. from 9:00 until 3:00 along 41. use 926 or route one the oxford bypass instead. matt. >> thank you, matt. developing this morning firefighters in southern california are battling an explosive wildfire and ferocious winds are making it worse. as a precaution more than 7,000 homes have been evacuated in just a matter of hours the fire destroyed 25,000 acres. this is a live picture from the city of ventura which is just northwest of los angeles right on the coast and you can see some of these structures actually in flames right now. we know about those evacuations and here you see why. they are intense flames being fed by those heavy winds in california. now, they pushed also into the cities of santa paula. one person was reported killed in a traffic accident on a road closed due to these flames. the ventura county fire department staffed an extra 100 firefighters in anticipation of the strong winds and the threat of these fires and now you see those threats coming to reality. they had triggered a red flag warning in los angeles and ventura counties. no word yet on how these fires started but they are raging right now and they're trying to put them out. >> police in savannah georgia are crediting an officer with saving the life of a newborn baby that was choking. the child's mother called 911 and officer william eng was the first to be able to respond. he raced up three flights of stairs and started doing chest compressions as the infant's mother held her. after about a minute finally the baby started to breathe on her own. yesterday officer eng was honored by the department for his life saving actions and was reunited with that healthy baby girl and her smiling mother. >> ♪ >> 6:50. let's get a preview of "good morning america." >> robin roberts is live in time square. it is heart stopping and devastating what those people are going through. >> reporter: it really is tam and matt. a fast moving wildfire in california overnight forcing mandatory evacuations knocking out power to thousands of homes. we'll hear from officials on the scene there this morning. also ahead a consumer alert right now. online scalpers driving up the prices for popular items making it really hard on parents this holiday season. what one senator is trying to do to protect customers and what experts say you can do to avoid the high markups. james franco is here live. seal is here live. his sound check has been amazing this morning. ginger zee is releasing a brand new book. we're going to talk to her about it. matt and tam, all i can tell you is it's so incredibly revealing about ginger zee and we'll talk to her. it's -- i love it. i love her and you're going to see a side of her that you didn't know, yeah. >> got the robin stamp of approval so what more do you need to ask for. >> yeah. >> thanks robin. see you in a little bit. >> we don't like the side of 195 we're seeing right now. mercer county a new crash just in on the eastbound side approaching 539 its causing some westbound slowing and a few delays on the regional rails also market frankford line dealing with some residual delays after earlier equipment problems. karen. >> it's 51 degrees right now in philadelphia. we are already above our average high. how does this compare to yesterday? the west but i want you to take a closer look. right now we're catching a little bit of drizzle that's been moving through delaware and now southern new jersey. so watch for that as you're heading out. it's not a big deal. the heavier rain comes later on this evening and tonight but at any point today you could see a little drizzle or a little brief shower moving in. 50 degrees, a new number coming in to us right now. normally our average high for this at any time is 48. we've already surpassed that. even 50 in allentown. 49 in reading. 50 in trenton. 49 in millville. 54 degrees in dover, delaware. it's mild not only this afternoon but this morning as well. at 7:00 a.m. it's 51, mostly cloudy skies. by lunchtime, it's 60 with a good deal of cloud cover. at 3 o'clock, we'll be in the local 60's, your high today is 63. even at 5 o'clock it's 60 degrees so the real steadier rain comes later this evening from west to east. at 7 o'clock it's 60-degrees with some of that rain falling. kind of a lot going on with the weather today and tomorrow. very warm today. so, enjoy that one day of warmth. tomorrow clouds -- and we have clouds and a chance for drizzle at any point today but the steadier rain arrives later this evening and tonight. tomorrow it's down right blustery. we'll show you what that's going to look like in the seven day in a couple minutes, matt. >> all righty, karen we'll get ready. so far this morning it's mostly road work that we've been watching but now there's a crash here at the 6 o'clock hour on the northbound side of 95 off ramp to street road in bucks county. seems like we often have accidents here. and the one this morning is partially blocking the ramp. you can see penndot on the scene of the crash. they've got the left lane blocked on the off-ramp but traffic is getting by in the right lane. however, if it stays out here very long you will see delays start to form on the northbound side of 95 headed towards street road. at this point traffic is getting by okay. on the big picture coming south on 95 towards center city isn't a problem just yet. speeds still in the 40's and 50's. looking good on the schuylkill as well. and let's check the one that connects the two, it's the vine street expressway. from time to time we've seen a little westbound slowing approaching 76 but right now things don't look too bad here in center city. however, in plymouth township still have that couch on the northbound side of the northeast extension just beyond mid-county just past the east west turnpike so watch out for restrictions there and on the east west turnpike there's still a westbound work zone near fort washington. couple lanes blocked there but the eastbound side is all opened on this tuesday morning, matt. >> thank you, matt. someone stole a girl's custom walker right outside of her wilmington home. the 10-year-old girl suffers from cerebral palsy and wonders why anyone would take it from her. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live in the satellite center with details on this search for that walker thief. katherine. >> reporter: matt, that's right, this was a custom walker. the family left it by accident on the lawn last week. now they're hoping that someone will return it. >> it just makes me very disappointed as a child that a grownup would take my walker. >> reporter: 10-year-old kiersten edwards alexander of wilmington has cerebral palsy. she says since her walker was taken from her front lawn she can only rely on her wheelchair for mobility. >> it's very hard to not walk right now because i love walking. >> reporter: surveillance camera from last thursday shows a white pickup truck stopping in front of her home on rodney drive. it was within a minute of kiersten and her mother pulling out of the driveway the walker accidentally left on the lawn. a man dressed in what appears to be construction gear loaded up the walker and left. a neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous said her home cameras captured those moments. >> it looked like a scrap metal truck like if they were scrap metaling through the neighborhood but it looked really suspicious because she left and then he pulled up. >> reporter: it's a custom walker 3 feet tall and royal blue. by the time kiersten's mother realized her mistake and called home, the walker was already gone. >> it's a heartless person. why would you steal a child's walker? why would you steal a walker off somebody's property. why take it. >> reporter: new castle county police are investigating this case. if you have any tips, give them a call. we're live from the satellite center katherine scott, channel6 "action news. tam. >> katherine thank you for that. new on "action news" a gunman shot a man in the somerdale section in the back. chopper6 was over the scene bridge street and loretto avenue last night. the man is in critical condition. police are still working this case. and a serious crash in lindenwold has injured at least one person. this was the view from chopper6 late last night along the 2,000 block of egg harbor road o the crash happened just before 10 o'clock in the evening. the road was closed during the investigation and authorities have not released many more details. >> the driver who struck and killed man in bucks county and then took off running is still on the loose. the crash happened early yesterday morning on the 2900 block of state road in croydon. the driver struck 46-year-old james aufschlag, lost control, drove into a ditch, then took off on foot through a swamp and escaped. this happened as aufschlag was left wounded on the side of the road. >> it was a good samaritan from -- from the traffic, got out of his car and ran down and got a blanket for him and we were talking to him saying the ambulance is on its way, it's going to be okay. >> despite their best efforts, aufschlag died at the hospital. police have recovered the car which has a large hole in the windshield. investigators do not believe the owner of that car was the one behind the wheel. if you have any information call bristol township police. >> we have learned that the deaths of two temple university students who died last week in separate incidents were both overdoses. 24-year-old michael patas was found dead in the university library on november 30. this past saturday police were called to the off campus apartment of 20-year-old james orlando. he was also unresponsive when the medics got to the scene. the medical examiner did not say which drug was found in their system. temple university says it is grieving the loss of both of them as their semester comes to a close. >> one of the most popular video sites on the internet is addressing concerns that it allows offensive uploads and even makes the videos available to children. maribel aber is lie at the nasdaq in times square with our market watch report. good morning, maribel. >> reporter: good morning, matt. youtube is beefing up its effort to screen the videos that pour into the web site. youtube's ceo says it will increase the number of people overseeing content to over 10,000 next year. it has been under fire for posting videos targeting children. youtube received 400 hours of new videos every minute and will use the new reviewers to help train its machine that's learning to flag questionable content. let's talk stocks. mixed day for stocks as the dow closed at another record. while tech stocks sold off. report on the trade deficit due out later today. mcdonald's is bringing back its dollar menu starting january 4th. the new menu will feature items priced at two dollars and three dollars. the low cost lineup is an effort by mcdonald's to win back value oriented diners. it includes cheese burgers and mcchicken sandwiches sausage mcgriddles for two dollars and triple burger for three dollars. >> value meal is good, too. thanks, maribel. we'll see you later. new this morning a blizzard is dumping snow and bringing strong winds to minnesota. it caused many schools to dismiss early yesterday. many people headed home early worried about the whiteout conditions on rural roads. the snowflake also led to flight cancellations and delays at hector international airport outside fargo north dakota. >> well, we might get a little rain around here but it won't be that. >> we're ahead that of system so we have that mild flow but that colder air is coming our way. not necessarily the snow but the colder air hitting us. let's take a look right now at storm tracker6 live double scan and we can get a better view here with this closeup radar showing some sprinkles there near dover, cape may, in parts of south jersey heading towards the city. the bulk of the rain still out to the west. but i've been reminding you that at any point we could see a little drizzle or brief shower and that's what we're starting to see in parts of the region. let's go outside right now show you what it looks like. sky6 looking live right now at the christmas tree at city hall. pretty shot right there. current temperature is 50 degrees, certainly not feeling like the holidays, right. the dewpoint is 46 degrees. that atmosphere really moistening up right now. the winds are southeasterly. they've switched to the southeast. that's going to bring in the mild air. no problems thus far with fog. satellite and radar showing the bulk of the rain is out to the west. we can still see these little sprinkles that are moving through and we'll get a chance for that before that heavier rain hits. here's a wider view of the satellite 'cause you can really see this front. so here's that front, right. behind it we have much colder air. that colder air is moving its way after this front comes through. so let's walk you through the changes because they're pretty significant over the next 24, 48 hours. high today 63. i think this is really the last warm day we'll see in awhile. at 8:00 a.m. 52 with clouds and sun. 10:00 a.m., 56. at any point little bit of drizzle, lots of clouds today. at lunchtime mostly dry and 60. at 3 o'clock, 63. at 6 o'clock, 60 degrees so holding at that high for quite awhile. your high today 63 and temps staying in the 60's for awhile and we'll watch that rain move from west to east and you can kind of see that on future tracker. so again at any point a shower could move through but this is a look at lunchtime. most of the area pretty dry and then we watch that front get closer so at 5 o'clock this evening, we see that some heavy rain hits the lehigh valley. this model showing it holds off until maybe 8:00, 8:30 in the i've 95 -- i-95 corridor. look at the temperatures behind it. so wednesday at 4:00 a.m., tomorrow morning, you're still in the 40's. it's still a mild start to the day so you wake up and it's mild. then the temperatures just keep dropping and that colder air moves in through the day. by the afternoon it's really feeling chilly with a gusty wind, so much cooler than it will be this afternoon. so here's your exclusive accuweather 7-day. today 63, not bad. our usual high is 48. the steadier rain arrives morning in december, already 50 degrees. >> seeing a lot of green on the traffic screen, matt. >> we like that. we often think red and green this time of year but we're fine with just green. but we are watching a little bit of yellow start to form here matt and tam on the southbound side of 95 just from allegheny into girard so far. it's our typical morning slowing, just starting to develop heading down towards center city. if you're traveling northbound on 95, we had a crash on this ramp. it's the off-ramp to street road right here and it looks like the crash has cleared but there's still a little bit of a delay trying to work itself out coming north of woodhaven through this point at street along 95 in bucks county. again, because of that earlier accident. on the pennsylvania turnpike all morning long we've been talking construction. westbound side close to fort washington it appears it hasn't wrapped up yet but at this point the speeds look okay coming west of willow grove, we're in the upper 60's so we're not complaining a whole lot about that. still complaining about that couch though. a couch along the northeast extension northbound side just beyond the east-west turnpike beyond mid-county. watch out for it there in the left lane. elsewhere on 476, some midday warnings for you. they're going to be watching the potholes along the blue route both directions between baltimore pike and route 30 villanova. most of the days this week they'll be out there between 9:00 and 2:30 so you may want to avoid the blue route during midday. tree removal going on along the northbound side of one coming away from the old granite run mall headed up towards rose tree park. watch out for trees during the midday. they'll be working along route one township line road, some sign installation here going on from 9:00 until 3:00 today state road can get you around that work zone, matt. >> thank you, matt. a hearing gets under way today in a defamation lawsuit filed against president trump. the accuser came forward during the presidential campaign claiming trump had inappropriately touched her a claim that the president nice. the plaintiff, former "apprentice" couldn't assistant summer zervos is suing the president saying he made false statements you go her. about her. >> it's not a permanent call but the supreme court says the trump administration can fully enforce its travel ban for the time being. this ban is the third iteration of the president's proposal. it restricts travel for people from six mostly muslim countries chad iran libya somalia syria and yemen. multiple challenges filed against the ban are working their way through the lower courts and they are expected to eventually wind up before the high court which [laughter] we're also timing out when the rain arrives. >> i'm going to look at the bright side, karen and matt. all that winter gear you've been holding onto now you will get to use it. >> there you go. >> that's one way to look at it. i'm not buying it but that's one way to look at it. >> i've been saying this is the last mild day like the world is going to end. but satellite and radar showing us that yes we have clouds and we have some rain moving in from the west but we also have unseasonably warm air. ahead of that rain we could see a little bit of drizzle or a brief shower in a couple spots. i want to show you right now storm tracker6 live double scan because we're starting to see some of that drizzle a little more pronounced in south jersey. let's take a closer look right now. so that steady rain is out to the west but a little bit of a shower moving through delaware now into southern new jersey and take a closer look at this near cape may in millville you're going to get hit by the shower in wilmington and almost right now in philadelphia as well. so, a few showers here or there could develop but that steady rain, that really comes later in the day. the current temperature another new number, 51 degrees. so we're already a few degrees above our average high for this date. even in the lehigh valley, 50, 49 in reading, 50 in trenton, 54 in dover and 55 degrees currently in cape may. here's how the day is going to look. lots of clouds. little bit of drizzle here or there or a shower. by 7:00 a.m., 51. you're way up to 60 by lunchtime with the cloud cover. at 3:00 p.m., in the low 60's. your high is 63. at 5 o'clock, there will be some rain in spots and 60, even at 7 o'clock 'cause that rain is moving from west to east, that steady rain that we're tracking so a lots happening in the weather. here's what you can expect. today very warm, lots of clouds, a bit of drizzle, that steady rain arriving later this afternoon or this evening from west to east. tomorrow behind it it is blustery. wait until you see how the numbers drop in the seven-day. that's coming up in a minute, matt. >> oh, boy, so too the speeds starting to drop on many highways this morning like the vine street expressway. you can see those brake lights lighting up westbound approaching the schuylkill expressway. roosevelt boulevard extension also busy now on the southbound side from ridge avenue on down to that narrowed ramp to the westbound side of the schuylkill, it is a slow go now but at least roads are dry this morning and the fog is not nearly as bad as it was yesterday morning. and we got rid of our couch on the northeast extension northbound side just beyond mid-county. they cleared that out of wait. overnight work on the westbound turnpike near fort washington is also gone now. but we're getting word of a new crash partially blocking the ramp from limerick linfield to the eastbound side of 422. busy ramp in the morning. watch out for that new accident. and camera town in chester county. this is the route 30 bypass right at route 100 in exton. will had reports of debris up ahead headed towards 202 but that has cleared out of the way. slow speeds in the wake of earlier construction along 495 in wilmington. i would use 95 northbound instead on this tuesday morning, tam. >> okay, thank you, matt. there's been an outpouring of support for a young girl facing a hard time because of a thief. kirsten edward alexander is 10 and she has cerebral palsy and usually she uses a special walker to get herself around but her world is extremely limited right now after someone snatched that walker away from the front of her wilmington, delaware home. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live from the satellite center with this girl's story. it meant everything to her, katherine, to have that walker. >> reporter: it really did, tam. she's so upset about it and she's really hoping someone will give it back. the walker was left on the family's front lawn last week by accident. by the time the family realized it, it was already gone. >> a heartless person like why would you steal a which i'll's walker. >> reporter: a walker her daughter relies on. 10-year-old kiersten edwards alexander of wilmington has cerebral palsies. without her walker she's only able to move around by wheelchair. >> it makes me very disappointed as a child that a grownup would take my walker. >> reporter: home surveillance video from last thursday shows a white pickup truck stopping in front of her home on rodney drive within a minute of kiersten and her mother pulling out of the driveway. a man dressed in what appears to be construction gear loaded up the walker and left. a neighbor who wants to remain anonymous captured those moments on her home cameras. >> it looked like a scrap metal truck like if they were scrap matteling -- metaling through the neighborhood but it looks suspicious because she left and he pulled up. >> reporter: now kiersten and her family are hoping the 3-foot tall royal blue custom walker will be returned. >> it's very hard to not walk right now because i love walking. >> reporter: new castle county police are investigating this case and they want to hear from you if you have any tips. we're live from the satellite center katherine scott, channel6 "action news. >> hope she gets it back. thank you, katherine. new this morning, former philadelphia district attorney seth williams has been moved to a federal prison in oklahoma. williams had been in a federal lockup in philadelphia since his sentencing on october 24th. federal prison records show he has since been relocated to the federal prison in oklahoma city. williams pleaded guilty in june to one count of accepting a bribe from a businessman. the judge sentenced him to five years in prison. his release date is set for november of 2021. authorities say this man broke into two vehicles at a day care in burlington county. it happened as parents the owners of the vehicles were inside the goddard school on route 38 in moorestown. in both cases, the thief got away with bags left inside the cars. moorestown police believe the same man may have broken into vehicles at other day cares in south jersey. >> police have charged three teenagers with murder for the beating death of a man in the mayfair section of philadelphia. 14-year-old brandon conrad 17-year-old emmanuel harris and 16-year-old malik page are charged as adults also facing robbery charges. police say the teens killed kevin cullen during a robbery in the 4200 block of lorring street on november 25th. all three are students at lincoln high school. >> time is now 6:36. the special election for a u.s. senate seat in alabama is in one week. gop candidate roy moore will campaign today with former white house chief strategist steve bannon. president trump himself threw his support behind the candidate on monday. the white house has said the president plans to hold a rally on the florida panhandle just across the alabama border but no events in alabama are scheduled. several women accuse moore of sexual misconduct, some when they were just teenaged girls decades ago. moore has denied the allegations. the republican national committee has reversed course now saying it will provide campaign resources to moore in the final week. new this morning michigan congressman john conyers who faces claims that he sexually harassed former employees is expected to announce his retirement today. at least six former female members of his staff have accused conyers of sexual harassment and other improper behavior over the last two weeks. conyers had denied the claims as he faced growing calls for him to resign, calls that he appears to have answered. ian conyers, his great grandnephew plans to run for his seat. ian conyers is currently a state senator in michigan. >> a controversial truck scale project in the upper perkiomen school district has been terminated. last night a newly elected school board voted five to four to stop the building of a new $58 million new middle school. the school district has already spent over $10 million on the project. as you can see there construction has already started. and it had been approved by the prior board despite some widespread opposition from residents who said that they were worried that their school taxes would go up. >> turning no you to now to accuweather. karen rogers says it's your last chance to go outside until the spring. >> ever. [laughter] >> we have colder air coming so it really is the last day in awhile that you'll be having temperatures in the 60's. let's take a look right now at storm tracker6 live double scan. we're watching a little bit of drizzle kind of being enhanced a little bit. we see that rain that's out to the west in state college but we go in a little closer right now in south jersey in millville in cape may you're wet but also in coatesville, malvern in the city itself you have some sprinkles around, medford lakes as well. sprinkles ahead of that steady rain that arrives later today. let's go outside and see what it looks like right now. live on sky6 checking out philadelphia international airport. no weather related issues right now. we can see visibility is not a problem and they look busy down there, don't they? >> practice your moves over there. we'll check how we're moving on the schuylkill expressway. little bit slow now here in the westbound lanes its not terrible. just a little bit of morning volume from university out to this point at south. during the midday it will be substantially worse because from 9:00 until 3:00 they're going to block one of these two lanes on the eastbound side of the schuylkill for construction. so, watch out for that if you're headed towards university city during the midday today. on the big picture speeds are dropping. not because of accidents, just morning volume on the schuylkill and 95 now in the 20's as you travel about. and we were watching a crash on the ramp from limerick linfield to 422 eastbound but luckily that just cleared out so everything is reopened there. you're good to go at this point with just some building volume heading in towards king of prussia but not so good here. this is 309 in springfield township montgomery county. the northbound side by flourtown, church road, you can see this accident just the right lane getting by heading toward the pennsylvania turnpike. so you can expect delays coming north of chelt hem. might want to use bethlehem pike instead of 309 northbound hilltown township bucks county hilltown pike closing today and tomorrow from 8:00 to 4:00 for pipe replacement. rickert road gets you around that. london grove chester county flaggers will be out. from 9:00 until 3:00 along 41. use 926 or route one the oxford bypass instead. matt. >> thank you, matt. developing this morning firefighters in southern california are battling an explosive wildfire and ferocious winds are making it worse. as a precaution more than 7,000 homes have been evacuated in just a matter of hours the fire destroyed 25,000 acres. this is a live picture from the city of ventura which is just northwest of los angeles right on the coast and you can see some of these structures actually in flames right now. we know about those evacuations and here you see why. they are intense flames being fed by those heavy winds in california. now, they pushed also into the cities of santa paula. one person was reported killed in a traffic accident on a road closed due to these flames. the ventura county fire department staffed an extra 100 firefighters in anticipation of the strong winds and the threat of these fires and now you see those threats coming to reality. they had triggered a red flag warning in los angeles and ventura counties. no word yet on how these fires started but they are raging right now and they're trying to put them out. >> police in savannah georgia are crediting an officer with saving the life of a newborn baby that was choking. the child's mother called 911 and officer william eng was the first to be able to respond. he raced up three flights of stairs and started doing chest compressions as the infant's mother held her. after about a minute finally the baby started to breathe on her own. yesterday officer eng was honored by the department for his life saving actions and was reunited with that healthy baby girl and her smiling mother. >> ♪ >> 6:50. let's get a preview of "good morning america." >> robin roberts is live in time square. it is heart stopping and devastating what those people are going through. >> reporter: it really is tam and matt. a fast moving wildfire in california overnight forcing mandatory evacuations knocking out power to thousands of homes. we'll hear from officials on the scene there this morning. also ahead a consumer alert right now. online scalpers driving up the prices for popular items making it really hard on parents this holiday season. what one senator is trying to do to protect customers and what experts say you can do to avoid the high markups. james franco is here live. seal is here live. his sound check has been amazing this morning. ginger zee is releasing a brand new book. we're going to talk to her about it. matt and tam, all i can tell you is it's so incredibly revealing about ginger zee and we'll talk to her. it's -- i love it. i love her and you're going to see a side of her that you didn't know, yeah. >> got the robin stamp of approval so what more do you need to ask for. >> yeah. >> thanks robin. see you in a little bit. >> we don't like the side of 195 we're seeing right now. mercer county a new crash just in on the eastbound side approaching 539 its causing some westbound slowing and a few delays on the regional rails also market frankford line dealing with some residual delays after earlier equipment problems. karen. >> it's 51 degrees right now in philadelphia. we are already above our average high. how does this compare to yesterday?
