Delaware state police are searching for the driver and vehicle involved in a hitandrun that killed a woman overnight. Action news learned the woman was crossing kirkwood highway in mill creek at 12 30 a. M. When she was hit by a vehicle. She died at the scene. Her identity has not been released. So far theres no description of the vehicle involved. A 20yearold man fighting for his life ever was shot in the back of the head in the citys Wayne Junction section. Police called to the unit block of abbotsford avenue. Witnesses say they saw three gunmen running away from the scene, but word on a possible motive. 6 03 a. M. , one person was injured after a dozen shots were fired in wilmington, delaware. Police arrived on the scene after 1 00 a. M. , there they say they found more than a dozen shell casings. Police tell action news a house and several cars were hit by bullets, a gas meter at a home was hit causing a gas leak. A man later showed up at wilmington hospital with gunshot injuries. So far no word on his condition. Happening this morning a 6yearold boy is recovering after he was shot in north philadelphia. Police say the boy was shot just before 8 00 p. M. At 24th and knorr street. Its not clear what led to the shooting and theres no word about suspects. The child was rushed to Temple University hospital with the gunshot injury to his shoulder. He is in stable condition. A man is waking up behind bars in Chester County this morning charged in the shooting death of a 20yearold man thursday night, 20yearold kian carpster carpenter is being held without bail in phoenix ville. A vigil was held for the man who was shot where he was gunned down. First responders rushed to the scene of a condo complex in ocean county. It happened at the covington village. Jeff chirico spoke to the people who escaped the fire. Reporter it was an emotional night as family members reunited with loved one chased from their homes by fire.
