Now lets get a check on accuweather and a look at what made these storms so powerful. Thats right, meteorologist adam joseph is live to explain it all at the big board. You notice the drop in humidity today. It was that cold front yesterday that broke a week of heat and humidity and in tilden township again it was just confirmed by the National Weather service an ef1 rating tornado, that rating goes from a scale of zero the weakest to one the strongest. Maximum winds 105 miles an hour, the width of the path was about 75 yards and the length around threequarters of a mile long. As we look at the radar right around that time of 6 30 with that radar near tilden thats when we started to see the hook beginning to develop in that radar here you can see kind of that void of some of the colors. We get that spin in the storm. Theres hamburg and then it moved to the east and weakened but it was still a pretty powerful storm. As we look at satellite presently right now hardly a cloud in the sky because of that northwesterly wind and that drier air that has filtered in behind that front. Temperatures a little bit below average and it feels nice, 83 in allentown, 85 philadelphia. Millville right now 83 degrees and equally as warm at the shore. Those dewpoints any time theyre below 60 degrees, they were in the mid 70s yesterday during the storms, you can see weve dropped back into the 50s across the northern part of our area and that is why it feels so dry out. So if youre stepping out on the town this friday evening 85 degrees at 7 oclock, 80 by 8 oclock and then as we get in deeper into the evening temperatures in the middle 70s and very comfortable. You wont be breaking a sweat if youre going to be eating outdoors alfresco this evening. When i come back well talk about that weekend forecast, ill let you know if it is equally as nice saturday in that full forecast. A much better day. Thank you.
