the search for two swimmers that went missing. they went missing around 7:30. both are in their late thirties. the coast guard called off the search just under an hour ago after searching 80 square miles. a man was shot dead and northeast a bullet grazed a woman's head. in recent weeks and every quadrant of the district across the district we see stabbings and shootings, violent crime. in this morning's case, that woman was described as conscience and breathing when first responders arrived her injury as non-life threatening. the latest homicide in the district that happened last night. >> last night around 10:30 antonio mcallister was shot and killed. >> it does and it hurts because then it's like, okay, what else do we need to do. >> just across the street at emmanuel baptist church, this motivates them to offer more for the community. >> what happened last night doesn't have to be. >> there have been 79 homicides so far this year compared to 66 this time last year. nearly 20% increase. >> they can't even stand outside and play. >> people running around and shooting shooting. >> in northwest washington residents woke up to a shooting around 4:30 a.m. and police are looking for a suspect with dreadlocks driving bicycle. this woman said a few minutes after the shooting she heard a voice down the street. >> i heard them shouting, i need help. i need help. >> the victim of this shooting survived. this incident may result in more violence. >> i see patrol cars every now and then. whenever they call them they show up. >> anyone with information about the antonio mcallister homicide or other recent violent crimes to contact them. you can remain anonymous and your information could lead it reward of up to $25,000 if it leads to arrest and conviction. abc seven news. >> mike, thanks. tonight family and friends are saying good-bye to sandra bland. the 28-year-old was found hanged in a texas jail cell days after a controversial arrest following a traffic stop and new dash cam video shows officers standing outside the police car where bland was sitting in the backseat. they take her out and pat her down and put her back in the vehicle. her death remains under investigation but prosecutors pointing to preliminary autopsy results say she committed suicide. a marine killed in chattanooga tonight. 25-year-old carson holmquist was shot and killed along with three other marines and sailor. today his high school held a visitation. governor walker attended the visitation and funeral. and another presidential candidate promising to set the record straight. today hillary clinton said she'll testify about her benghazi e-mails. she set the date for october. she was secretary of state at the time and the question is whether clinton potentially leaked classified information. u.s. ambassador chris stephens and three other americans were killed in the attack. president obama was the first sitting president to visit kenya. he had a chance to
