Witness says man who died at Springfield prison pleaded for

An incarcerated person lodged near David Mitchell said the 46-year-old was twice seen by medical staff on Monday before his death, and had begged to go to the hospital because of breathing problems. Corrections Commissioner Nick Deml denied any misconduct in Mitchell’s death.
