May 7, 2021 Those of you who regularly follow the Dose know that I rarely feature cover songs. They have to be great, and different from the original for me to really want to play them for you. Today is such a case. Nancy Wilson, one of the two Wilson sister in the band Heart has covered Pearl Jam's song "Daughter". It's different than the original by a wide margin, and well worth your time to give it a listen. The cover photo here is a vintage photo of heart arriving at the old Ontario Motor Speedway when they played the Cal Jam Festival back in the 70's when most of Pearl Jam were in high school..or maybe even jr high.
