A south jersey father and son are lucky to be alive after their home went up in flames this morning. They were sleep iing when the father was awakened by the father. They were rescued. They are expected to be okay. The home, meanwhile, a total loss. No word on what touched off the blaze. A Murder Investigation closed school today at Pennwood Middle School in darby. A man was found shot to death in a backseat of a car near the school. At first classes were delayed but they decided to Cancel School when the investigation took longer than expected. Police have not e released anymore details. A High School Student accused of stabbing 20 students and a Security Guard pled guilty today. He was 16 when he used two eightinch knives to stab and slash his way through the school. This happened about 30 minutes east of pittsburgh. Four students were seriously hurt, but everyone did survive the attack. Prosecutors will now push for a 30 to 60year sentence. Seth williams will now become a prisoner. The former District Attorney sentenced to five years in prison today. Williams admitted to using his position as da to help friends who gave him gifts. He also admitted to accepting tens of thousands of dollars worth of bribes and defrauding a nursing home, stealing money meant to pay for his mothers care. He pleaded guilty back in june. Mikes family is one of hundreds buried here in the Jewish Cemetery. He remembers getting a phone call eight months ago. A cousin of mine. Told me about it. Immediately came over here. Nearly 500 headstones knocked over and broken leaving many devastated. There were relatives from all over the world calling us about their relatives that were here. I found many people said give me anything to do. Give me a rake, a garbage can, tell me what to do. Naomi is the president of the federation. With the help of countless volunteers and many others, today the cemetery is whole again. She toured the now fully restored cemetery with the mayor and in a ceremony placed stones to mark they were here. Joe was one of those volunteers who helped transform what vandals have destroyed.
